Only a month ago, I returned from a 6-week trip to America, of which I spent 3 weeks in Florida and traveled through.

In Florida, there is a significant difference in beaches on the east and west coasts of the state.

On the east coast is the Atlantic Ocean, and the waves on the beaches are usually larger and the water cooler.

While the western coast is washed by the Gulf of Mexico, the water is on average 3–4 degrees warmer and calmer, and there are practically no waves.

I personally prefer beaches without waves, as I don’t surf but just enjoy swimming and relaxing in the water.

Below, I present to you one more of the best beaches I have visited in Florida.

Today I want to tell you a lot about Miramar Beach, which is washed by the Gulf of Mexico.

You sent me so many questions and now it is the time to answer!

Let’s start…

The city of Miramar Beach (USA, Florida) is really worth a visit because it has an impressive selection of attractions and entertainment for every taste and amazing beaches.

Put yourself in panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, and when you want to take your vacation up a notch, rent a jet ski or go parasailing.

Is Miramar Beach a Good Place to Go?

Yes, definitely.

Miramar Beach is a beach town in Florida that has managed to avoid the mass development that has captured most of the resorts in the Gulf of Mexico.

Of course, there are high-rise condominiums here, but there are still many old-fashioned three-story houses.

In addition, Miramar Beach does not have the same crowds of tourists as neighboring Destin.

To get to Miramar Beach, you can fly…
Fly to Tampa Airport (TPA) or Pensacola Airport (PNS).

Then get a taxi, either by airport shuttle or by bus.

Miramar Beach is famous for its beautiful beaches, which stretch for several miles along the ocean.

Here, you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and other water sports.

Also in the town, there are many restaurants, cafes, and shops where you can try local cuisine and buy souvenirs.

Does Miramar Beach Have a Boardwalk?

Yes.

From Destin to Miramar Beach, there is a 10-mile boardwalk, or so-called trail.

It is considered an easy route; it takes an average of 3 hours to complete it.

This is a popular trail for birding, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day.

Dogs are allowed here too, but they must be on a leash.

Nearby are beautiful beachfront homes, surf shops, amazing restaurants, seaside resorts, and villas with expansive views of the Gulf of Mexico.

On this boardwalk, you can taste the local cuisine, buy souvenirs, look at yachts and boats, go fishing, or cruise around the bay.

The waterfront often hosts various events, such as concerts, festivals, and celebrations.

This Boardwalk is a great place to relax and have fun while you’re in Florida.
