Sun all year round, miles of beaches, and almost as many palm trees as people.

Florida is where the world goes on vacation.

You can enjoy a trip to

Florida because the state has it all

.

Theme parks

for families, outdoor walks, historical sites for the curious, and plenty of activities for thrill-seekers

If you do not know what to do in Florida, then go to

the Panhandle.

The Florida Panhandle consists of Pensacola,

Panama City Beach

, Destin, and Tallahassee, Florida’s capital.

They are

popular spring break destinations

.

The Panhandle was hit hard by

Hurricane Michael

in October 2018, but the area is seeing significant recovery progress.

Since the Panhandle relies heavily on tourism.

The calm waters of Panhandle Bay and white-sand beaches are the main attractions, but alternatives to a beach holiday abound.

You can go hiking, biking, or canoeing in St.

Andrews State Park.

Destin is a must-visit place if you are with children because it is home to the Big Kahuna Water and Adventure Park, where the whole family will be busy for the whole day.

Today I want to tell you about this magical place, Big Kahuna…

How Deep is the Water at Big Kahuna?

The water depth ranges from 0 feet to 5 feet.

It is a great place for recreation and entertainment in a small but very friendly and sunny town.

There are many attractions in the Aquapark, both for adults and for kids.

Slides, steep slopes, a swimming pool, and more

There are also several mini-waterfalls that make great photo opportunities.

There are a few cafes for lovers of a tasty snack—several cafes and restaurants with traditional American food in a hurry (hamburgers, french fries, cola), as well as European food.

The water park is open in the morning and works almost until the evening.

It is conveniently located in the city center.

How Many Rides Are in the Big Kahuna?

The Big Kahuna water and adventure park has over 40 rides, and some of them are guaranteed to make your heart race.

In addition to the eight slides, Big Kahuna recently added a new ride that is sure to delight thrill seekers and those too old for the kids pool.

A new attraction, the Kowabunga Racer, allows four people to dive 300 feet and race to the finish line on a “speed mat” down a slide the length of a football field.

Big Kahuna’s is Destin’s favorite place to have fun.

With something for everyone, from lazy rivers to fast-paced slides, the park’s rides will keep you entertained for hours on end.

For example, you can challenge yourself on the Honolulu Half Pipe Ride or play a round of mini golf for even more fun and adventures.

If you’re not into thrills, the park also has mid-level slides, a lazy river, and a play area with plenty of water toys to keep the whole family cool on a hot Florida day.

What is The Weight Limit for the Big Kahuna?

200 lbs.

is the maximum weight per person.

With regard to excess weight, I did not encounter discrimination with my 250 lbs, but my daughter, 8 years old, was not allowed into a vertical pipe since she weighs less than 88 lbs.

And yes, there are rulers or scales on some of the rides, but they’re mostly for the kids on the adult rides.

In addition, there is everything for any age; even a 3-year-old child will be interested.

Just don’t go on Friday or Saturday; the locals have a weekend and there are a lot of people.

Who Owns the Park?

Boomers Park Family includes Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park.

Boomers is a privately held business with six family amusement parks and two water parks spread across New Jersey, Florida, and California.

Big Kahuna is an old park and has a few cosmetic issues, but overall it’s still perfect.

In general, I had two complaints:

The first complaint is the food.

They don’t let you bring everything you want with you, but they don’t have healthy options on the menu.

I don’t eat bread or potatoes, so I’m pretty unlucky with dairy.

But the

water seems pretty clear

, and the slides and rides are interesting.

And the second complaint is that it is very difficult to get from one attraction to another.

It seems like we spent a lot of time going from place to place, and many times we had to go back as it was like a maze and there were no signposts.

A single entrance to the water park costs $48.

99 for adults and children who are more than 48 inches tall, while it costs $40.

99 for children under 48 inches.

You can save up to $8 per ticket if you buy them in advance online.

For a family of four, we paid $179, including tax, on a Wednesday in July, and it was worth every cent.

This is the second season; we bought tickets and had a great time.
