Which Florida Key Has the Whitest Sand?

Which Florida Key Has the Whitest Sand?

–> Updated:

I have often wondered which Florida Key has the whitest sand?

 I like

Florida Key for many reasons

.

First,

the peculiarity of the Keys allows me to experience beach life without waves

.

Second, the sands allow me to enjoy a barefoot stroll along the beach.

Which <a href=

I can say that the Fort Zachary Taylor Historical State Park has the whitest sand among the keys.

  I will take

you through the Florida Key and why people love

coming to the state for it.

If you are traveling from Miami to

Key West

or from Key West to Miami, Key West is the first or last Florida Keys you will see.

Depending on the direction you are coming from.

There are 800

keys between Miami and Key West

.

These keys are linked by U.

S Highway 1, which is 180 miles long and has 42 bridges.

The Atlantic Ocean

binds this highway on one side and the Gulf of Mexico

on the other.

Key West is gorgeous.

Of all the Florida Keys, it has the highest number of people living in it.

It is in

Key West that the Mile Marker

“0” of U.

S.

Highway 1 Is seen.

Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum, the great nightlife on Duval Street, and the daily beautiful sunset celebration at Mallory

Square are all found in Key West

.

Key West is

popular for its beautiful and fun-filled water sports, just like other Keys on the Florida

Keys.

Every

beach in Key West is outstanding and each

of them has its unique attractions.

I have listed these top eight beaches for you to explore its white sands.

 Smathers Beach

Smathers Beach is located on the southern coastline of Key West.

It is the longest beach on the island, and the most tranquil.

The white sand in this land can measure up to 2 miles.

It has flourishing palm trees and beautiful blue sea water.

The hurricane sweeps a good quantity of the sand every year.

Rumor has it that

the sand will be replenished from the Bahamas

.

The beach is good for swimming, sunbathing,  playing volleyball, or snorkeling, but it does not have fish.

The beach has facilities, and there are mobile shops from which you can buy snacks and drinks.

You are not charged money to be allowed access to the beach.

Having a day out in the sun on this beach will make your day.

Dog Beach

You are not

allowed to bring your dog with you to Key West beaches, however, there is a beach

meant for dogs in Key West.

It is called, “dog beach”.

The beach is 20 feet wide, but you cannot easily locate it.

The beach is hidden away at Waddell and Vernon, near Louie’s Backyard.

Taking your dog to this beach will give it classic entertainment.

This beach has rocks, clumps, and seaweed, but those things will not interest your dog.

Note you cannot swim on this beach.

When you are through with entertaining your dog, you can entertain yourself as well at Louie’s, with food or drink.

You can take your dog along with you, but it must be leashed.

Rest Beach

Rest

Beach is one of the smallest beaches in Key

West.

This beach is located at the end of White Street.

Rest Beach is also known as C.

B.

Harvey Park.

It is very narrow but has white and fine sand.

There are a few picnic tables and benches for your relaxation.

At the end of Rest Beach, you will see the Edward B.

Knight Pier.

It will be worth your while going down there to have a view of the Atlantic Ocean.

It is a fantastic experience watching sunrise and sunset from this beach.

If you are pissed off by the crowd that gathers there every day to celebrate sunset at Mallory Square, you can alternatively go to Rest Beach.

Clarence S.

Higgs Memorial Beach Park

Clarence S.

Higgs Memorial Beach Park is located near Smathers Beach at the end of Reynolds Street, which is adjacent to the Waldorf Astoria Casa Marina Resort.

The

beach is encompassed by Tropical

vegetation.

It has fine white sand with shallow water.

There is something most spectacular than the beach in this place.

This is the only park in the whole of America where you can find a shore-accessible underwater marina park.

The park is the end point of the

Florida Keys

Overseas Heritage Trail.

Parking here is free.

There are so many water sports to engage you.

Loungers and deck chairs are provided in this park for maximum relaxation.

I enjoy visiting the Tropical Water Sports to book sports water at a cheap price.

Whenever I am tired of swimming and sunbathing, I cross over to the other side of the road, to West Martello Fort.

It is a Civil War-era fortification that features a tower.

You will be educated about the history there.

There are lovely gardens all around the fort and that is where

Key West

Garden Club is located.

There is a wooden pier at the end of the beach that was recently renovated.

Dogs are not allowed on this beach, but there is another beach for dogs on the other side of the road.
