The ride takes about 4 hours and 10 minutes, costing anywhere between $14 – $55.

From Miami to Key West by Plane
Taking a flight is hands down the quickest way to get to Key West from Miami.
The trip lasts for about an hour and you can get a direct flight to Key West International Airport (EYW) from Miami International Airport (MIA).
This route serves several airlines, such as American Airlines.
The flight from Miami to Key West is a very short one, but you’ll still have to go extra early to meet up with your flight as the security checks can take a good deal of time, especially in peak seasons.
No customs or border facilities check internal flights, but the security checks take longer than expected.
The flight is about $200 or more, depending on the time of the year.
