I love cities with beaches.

I can longer count the number of cities in the world I have used their beautiful beaches.

Coming to Florida, I saw numerous beaches but wanted to explore the most beautiful of them.

There are so many beautiful beaches in the Florida Keys, but the ones many tourists have voted the bests are.

Bahia Honda State Park Beaches

The sandy shores of Bahia Honda State Park offer you a breathtaking sight.

A visit to these beaches will convince you of all that has been said about them.

Sandspur Beach used to be the most outstanding beach in the park.

The beach is about 2.4 miles long.

Its shallow water stretches out to a good distance into the sea.

You will be able to see sand islands when the tides are low.

This is the time you will be able to have a personal desert island experience.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma destroyed this beach and its campground in 2017.

Sandspur Beach is still closed till 2022 and is undergoing rehabilitation.

Work is in progress on the beach until now, but no one knows when the beach will be reopened for business.

While Sandspur Beach is shut down, two other beaches are in operation.

They are Loggerhead beach and Calusa beach.

Calusa beach is more popular than Loggerhead beach.

You see the picture of Calusa beach in the background of photographs of the historic Old Seven Mile Bridge.

The beach has shallow water and is set in a pleasant cove.

When you are done playing in the sand and want to rest, there are concession stands, picnic tables, and restrooms at your service.

John Pennekamp State Park, Key Largo

Anytime you visit the beach at John Pennekamp State Park, you will discover that the awesome features of the beach are seen in the water and not the things that are seen at the bank of the sea.

There are many beaches in this park, but Cannon Beach is the most outstanding of all.

Cannon Beach is located between mangroves and a few palm trees it has been farther away from the water.

You will see cannons at the back of the beach, and that is a sign for you to know that you are in the right place.

This beach is good for swimming, but the high temperature in the area makes it not good for snorkeling.

Although the water is shallow, a lot of colorful fish and many interesting sponges still flourish in it.

Make sure you swim a little into the water to see the cannon and an anchor belonging to a ship that got wrecked in 1715.

If snorkeling does not appeal to you, the same way it does not appeal to many other people, Pennekamp State Park is the best place for you to go.

Paperboard is a popular activity in this park.

While you are gliding, you can look down to see fish and corals in the clear water, without you being socked in water.

The picnic tables and sun shelters in John Pennekamp State Park are located in the grassy area, away from the beach.

The concession stand and the visitor center, which you will not regret visiting, are located next to the picnic tables.

Getting inside, you will see a lot of exhibits that will interest you.

A must-see among these exhibits is a 30,000-gallon fish tank.

The park staffers will show you a map that will tell you where you can snorkel and swim.

If you are not interested in snorkeling to explore the underwater, do not worry, you can go on a boat tour of the offshore reefs.

Dry Tortugas National Park

You can only get to one of the most spectacular beaches in the Florida Keys through a scenic boat ride to Dry Tortugas National Park.

This beach I am talking about is a long arc of sand backed by a formidable stone wall.

The ocean has a very spectacular outlook.

It has a beautiful turquoise color.

You will watch the shallow water flow calmly under the warm Florida sun.

Haven talked about the beach right at the fort, and it will be very interesting to take a trip to Loggerhead Key, which is three miles from the fort.

Loggerhead Key has a lot of beautiful uninhabited beaches on many sides.

The lighthouse is the best place for you if you are tired of the sun and sand.

This building was erected in 1858 and was house to the most powerful light in the United States.

One of Florida’s most popular places known for snorkeling and diving in The Dry Tortugas.

They are located 70 miles offshore.

As a result of their isolated location, much unique aquatic life, which cannot be seen in Keys that are closer to the coastlines, are attracted to them.

You can enjoy snorkeling anywhere beyond the barrier wall, which was put by former coal docks, the Little Africa Reef, and the Windjammer wreck.

Smathers Beach, Key West

Many people have voted Smathers Beach the best beach in Key West.

It is a two-mile beach full of white sand that is lapped by blue waters.

You get the best sand in Key West on this beach; this is why many people visit it.

The fun scene created by fun-seekers in a place like this can sometimes be contagious, but let this not be misunderstood.

Outside the beach, you will see volleyball courts, where many tourists always line up to play their favorite game.

In some areas on the beach, you will see palm trees that provide shade for people.

There are lots of restrooms and showers on the beach.

Getting a parking space in Key West is difficult, but it is easy to get a parking space in Smathers beach.
