Traveling to Key Largo can be carried out throughout the year, but you would depend on the cost of travel, ideal climate conditions, and holiday period.

What is the best month to visit Key Largo?

I will say that you can visit Key Largo year-round.

However, the warmest month you can experience in Key Largo is in August when the average temperature is around 30℃ (86℉).

December and March are my best time to visit Key Largo.

During this season, I experience not too hot temperatures and dry water.

The beach is warm enough to explore water activities and outdoor activities are not interrupted by rain.

Meanwhile the longest days happen in July for people who don’t want to stop having fun during the day.

Sometimes, I come during this period to catch up with everything I might have missed during working months.

In August, you can experience an average rain almost daily, meaning that you would be fighting rainfall during August.

On the other hand, August might be the wet season, but it does not mean that heavy rainfall can happen often.

Some days might have little rainfall during the day or evening to give you the weather to move around the small town.

What is the best month to visit Key Largo?

March to May.

The spring season (March to May) is the best month to come to Key Largo.

When I talk about the weather of Key Largo, I say the island has pleasant weather.

For instance, I enjoy the subtropical climate that comes with occasional cool temperatures, especially during winter.

Are you wondering what happens during summer?

Key Largo enjoys summer from June to August with hot and humid conditions.

Since I don’t mind the heavy rainfall, coming to the island during this period is great because of the maximum discounts on accommodation.

The fall season happens between September and November, but you should be careful of hurricanes.

Winter season takes over from December to February and has become the peak season for locals and visitors.

I must remind you that during the peak season, accommodation options are high prices, and you would deal with an overcrowded island.

I mentioned that if you don’t want to struggle with anything when you visit the island, come during the spring season.

During the spring season, you can enjoy a nice pleasant climate and clear sky, which is great for everyone.

In addition, you don’t have to face a crowded beach during this period.
