A train ride from Madrid to Seville is for lovers of picturesque landscape.

By traveling from Madrid to Seville, I saw the most interesting part of Spain.

I saw beautiful cities, countless huge castles, interesting nature and mountains, and of course, an amazing coastline with many breathtaking beaches.

The train will make 3 intermediate stops (depending on the train): Ciudad Real, Puertollano, Cordoba, and Seville.

The first of these, Ciudad Real, is in the region made famous by Cervantes in his novel Don Quixote of La Mancha.

The second stop is Puertollano.

The third is Cordoba, with its historic center, which is included in the list of World Heritage Sites.

Here you can see such architectural monuments as the famous mosque, also included in the World Heritage list.

The train is high-speed, fast, and modern, and is designed to offer passengers everything they need for an enjoyable journey, including several classes to choose from, fast travel time (about 2 hours), and an extended schedule with 14 daily departures!

I was astonished by the well-equipped carriages that were also at my service during the trip, and I could walk from one carriage to another.

If you prefer the train, please note that the timetable is very flexible and changes frequently.

The high-speed train Madrid-SSeville of the AVE company leaves from the Atocha railway station.

The train runs quite often, from early morning to evening.

Tickets are best bought in advance, so they will be cheaper.

You can buy them at the ticket office of the railway station or online.

The train is very comfortable; it has everything that can be useful for a trip, albeit a short one: drinks, snacks, and the latest press.

Traveling by plane is a good option too, but better plan it in advance so there will be a chance to buy tickets at a good discount and choose the desired places, because this direction is quite popular.

Another nuance: keep in mind that Seville’s San Pablo airport is located 12 km (7 miles) from the city; it will take about 25 minutes to overcome this distance (by shuttle).

Although the bus from Madrid to Seville travels for a long time, there are night buses on the route, so you can sleep on the way.
