Although St.

Augustine has a touch of the ancient, it does not lose it appeal to visitors like me.

When I want to have a feel of the Caribbean and American, I come to St.

Augustine, especially with its beautiful beaches.

St.

Augustine has 42 miles of white sand beaches

, and sparsely populated coastlines, relative to other coastlines in Florida, which serve as relaxation spots for locals and visitors.

Imagine what you can do when you visit St.

Augustine.

It seems St.

Augustine was created for people like who love the water activities.

Can you swim in the ocean in St.

Augustine?

Yes.

It is safe to swim in St.

Augustine Beach, but you must be at least 400 feet away from the St.

Johns County Ocean Fishing Pier.

I see lifeguards on duty along the shore during Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend, to ensure that we don’t suffer danger during swimming.

I can spend hours staring at the beach that have added color to the city’s 450-long years of history.

Whenever I want to relax close to the waves, I can go to the oceanfront.

Sometimes, I can walk down to St.

Johns County Ocean Pier for sightseeing, go shopping at any of the many boutique shops on brick-lined streets or go riding in horse-drawn carriages at the city square.

The beaches of St.

Augustine feature different types of sand.

For instance, there is plenty of soft white sugary sand in St.

Augustine Beach and Crescent Beach.

You will see dark-colored crushed coquina shells in Matanzas Inlet and Vilano Beach.

Each of the beaches has something that makes them thick.

Some have water waves nice for surfing, while others have shark teeth buried in their sands.

Is the ocean water clear in St.

Augustine?

Yes.

The ocean water is clear in St.

Augustine and its miles has

white sand

, which is ideal for lovers of history and culture.

When I want to relax or feel refreshed, I spend more time along the 40 miles of white sandy beaches.

I try to visit at least one of the beaches in St.

Augustine whenever I visit

to have a memorable time out.

I suggest that you begin your trip from Ponte Vedra beach if you want to see a

clear water

in the city.

Ponte Vedra Beach

Ponte Vedra Beach is in the Jacksonville Beaches region.

Since it is located in a coastal community, I come here to play golf or relax in ritzy resorts.

I have added the beach to my list of must-visits whenever I plan my vacation to St.

Augustine.

Some of the things that attract me to the beach town include its nice resorts and beautiful beaches.

Ponte Vedra Beach has always made it to the list of the most beautiful beaches in Florida.

However, this beach has more features that are higher than relaxation.

While on the exploration of these St.

Augustine top beaches, I often engage in fun-filled recreation and other activities.

I like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and surfing that make the beach more exciting to me.

The town has a rich history past, featuring a life-size Ponce de Leon statue and an overlook platform that tells the story of the

explorer’s arrival to this place in Florida

in 1513

Does St.

Augustine Beach have blue water?

Yes.

St.

Augustine Beach has white sand and blue waters.

The distance between the beach and major places of attraction like shopping centers, restaurants, Alligator Farm, and others is short.

When I feel like lazing around, I walk to the beaches to unwind and mingle with the locals.

  In addition, St.

Augustine allows me to go window-shopping or take 10 minutes to drive downtown.

St.

Augustine beach is socially active that offers me the opportunity to explore hidden parts of the beach and embark on fishing adventures.

On Wednesday morning, I visit the farm market to buy things like vegetables or fruits, while the evening offers me outdoor evening concerts to attend.

Things to know about St.

Augustine

  1. St.

    Augustine

Beach is of great significant importance because it was the spot wade-in protest was held during the Civil Rights Movement.

  2. The popularity of the beach is intact today as both visitors and locals go there to enjoy the soft sand, and shoreline, and surf on its nice waves.

  3. The most significant spot on the beach is the St.

    Johns County Ocean Pier.

This is the anglers relying point.

Just pay a few dollars to go onto the pier to have spectacular views of the beach, other visitors, or the beauty of the sun as it set.

I prefer strolling along the shoreline of the Atlantic and allow water run over my feet.

Some tourists choose to sit under big umbrellas they rented from any of the rental companies around such as Anastasia Watersports, which is in the Anastasia State Park.

For bike riders, bike riding on the beach is fun because of its parked sand.

However, I don’t see myself taking a bike along the coastline.

St.

Augustine offers me a convenient beach because of its easy access and facilities with enough parking spaces.

I must get a permit if  I must drive my car on the beach.

I don’t see it as a problem because it the permit limits the number of cars on the beach.

St.

Augustine Beach has eating spots along the seaside and places you can go for

fast food

.

It also has restaurateurs for your pets because you are allowed to come along with your pet, but it must be on a leash.

My Thoughts

Swimming in

St.

Augustine

is safe and exciting because of its clear water.

Who doesn’t want to swim in a clear water?

The fact that I don’t want to meet marine surprises when I swim, the clear water helps me stay comfortable and confident.

St.

Augustine beach is among the best beaches in

Florida for people who want to explore different water

activities.

Since the beach is not flooded with tourists like the Miami beach, I find St.

Augustine a fun place to spend my vacation.
