Vacationing in Florida is a long-awaited trip to a tropical paradise with beautiful beaches.
The most important thing on such a trip is to choose the right beach, which we did in advance.
To find out the main features of a great beach holiday, I decided to make a route along the
beaches of Florida
and visit some of the best beaches in this state.
It turned out to be both difficult and simple at the same time: simple thanks to the American infrastructure and difficult because of the huge number of really cool beaches.
Now we are ready to share with you all our experience of a
beach holiday in Florida
because we have visited the sunny state three times already!
Madeira Beach
It is a Gulf of Mexico beach city just west of St.
Petersburg.
Madeira Beach is a famous city today that offers shops, restaurants, and a 1,100-foot boardwalk along the Intracoastal.
The 2.
5 miles of shoreline on Madeira attract fans of the sun, sea, and fishing as their main hobbies.
The city of Madeira Beach is really worth a visit because it has an impressive selection of attractions and entertainment for every taste, especially beaches!
Madeira Beach is very beautiful; it has a wide coast of white sand that is so funny!
There are always a few people.
Elderly vacationers walk in the morning.
There are almost no young people here.
But the bay did not please.
There is nowhere to swim.
More precisely, there is plenty of water, but you constantly experience discomfort.
I did not enjoy swimming; it is for those who are just learning to swim or are afraid of the deep.
I swam 300 feet (depth up to the neck), and there was a spit.
After you stand in waist-deep water,
The water itself is muddy (on the
east side of Florida
it is completely different), and there is a constant smell of fish (pelicans are constantly in the water, which catch this fish).
Maybe we just happened to be at a time when there were some low tides and fish spawning (beginning of October); I don’t know.
But the sea itself did not impress me much.
Madeira Beach vs. St. Pete Beach
St.
Pete Beach
St.
Pete Beach is a resort town on the island of the same name in a chain of other islands, located directly opposite the city of
St.
Petersburg
in Florida.
It is confusing; many people
visiting Florida for the first time may think that Sun Pete Beach
is the name of the main beach in St.
Petersburg, Florida.
But Sun Pete Beach is actually an autonomous city, officially incorporated in 1957.
It was originally called St.
Petersburg Beach, but to avoid confusion, in 1994 it was shortened to Sun Pete Beach.
Sun Pete Beach has over 7 miles of white sandy beaches and Ft.
De Soto Park Beach, a park that is usually considered one of the best places for a beach holiday.
Today, Sun Pete Beach has become the resort capital of the state, one of the best vacation spots in
North America
, and is very popular among retirees as well as residents of states and cities with a cold climate, especially New York, Detroit, and Chicago.
Gorgeous white sandy beaches, warm waters of the bay on three sides, and 360 days of sunshine a year A sea of sun, greenery, and water, for which San Pete Beach is called the “Sunny City”.
Every year, up to a thousand cultural events take place here, from food festivals to jazz festivals and Shakespeare evenings.
Since Sun Pete Beach is located right on
the Gulf of Mexico,
it offers easy access to Shell Key Wildlife Sanctuary.
Is The Water Clear in Madeira Beach, Florida?
Yes.
Madeira Beach has white-sand beaches and
clear water, which is
perfect for swimming.
People say that the best
beaches for swimming in Florida
are located just south of St.
Petersburg, in a place called
Clearwater
.
It is the most popular resort town on the Gulf of Mexico on the
west coast of Florida
in the United States.
There are beaches with white quartz sand and clean, clear water; there is modern beach infrastructure and playgrounds for sports and games.
Madeira Beach vs. St. Pete Beach
Is St.
Pete Beach the Best Beach in the World?
No, it is the best beach in the USA, but not in the world.
Siesta Beach is the best beach in the US, according to various ratings.
It is really a nice, lovely local beach with white, soft sand (like in the Seychelles).
An ideal place for morning jogging and evening leisurely walks.
Walking along the beach, do not be surprised if a heron walks next to you.
And what I liked was the shallow entry into the water.
The water is warm, like in a bathroom; however, like everywhere else here in June, There are no lifeguards.
Wide strip of white sand.
During our visit, there were many local birds, including black skimmers.
The zone chosen by them was fenced, and there were volunteers nearby with a sign saying “ask us about birds.” They willingly talked about the birds.
The skimmers were funny sitting in a dense group, their beaks facing the wind.
Some were still incubating eggs; others were running chicks.
Parents, from time to time, flew in and fed the offspring.
It was interesting to watch.
For me, St.
Pete Beach is now associated with these birds.
Does St.
Petersburg Beach Have White Sand?
St.
Petersburg Beach has white sand and a long coastal line.
St.
Petersburg Beach was called the best beach in the US in 2021!
With stunning white sands and a ton of amenities (including some amazing beach bars right on the shore).
Fantastic beach with clean, fine white sand and clear water.
Go fishing and water skiing, which are affordable, and keep an eye out for excellent wildlife, especially dolphins, on your early morning walk!
So What to Choose: Madeira Beach vs.
St.
Pete Beach?
Both of these cities have beautiful beaches in their neighborhoods.
I really liked them.
If you can’t choose one of them, it’s better to come and relax in both.
Siesta Beach is called the best beach in the US according to various ratings: facilities, sea, sand, etc.
As for Madeira, I will give it one more chance.
Maybe I came at the wrong time.
