Visiting Florida offers you many adventures, especially if you want to spend some days exploring its cities.

However, the weather could be a stumbling block if you visit in some months like January.

Since I reside in Miami, I have loved the weather because it warms its beaches than in some parts of the state.

Is the east or west coast of Florida warmer in February?

The east coast is warmer than the west during the winter period.

If you want to plan your stay in Florida, you should consider the weather to help you visit when you can have the best time.

The best time to visit Florida includes February, which makes it a dreamy period due to the weather.

However, before coming to Florida, consider the weather in February.

The main thing to consider when coming to the Sunshine State in February is that it’s temperate remains cooler than in other months but feels great for most visitors.  The intensely high temperatures are not felt in February.

If you want to visit Florida during this period, you should consider places with warmer temperatures. For instance, the temperature becomes chillier if you travel further north, unlike South or Central Florida.

February Rainfall

The Sunshine State may not always be sunny because it has its share of rainfall, winter, and sunshine.  Are you wondering why it will rain in February?  When hurricane season stops, the dry season usually begins, and this happens between December and November.

While January is the state’s driest month, February has little difference but occasional rainfall.

However, the rain is not excessive, allowing you to tour this beautiful city.

February Humidity

If I have a wish to take out something from Florida, it would be its humidity, which is a killer.

Florida’s humidity is worst in the summer months and can leave you uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, since the temperature is cooler in February, you should expect lower humidity than you experience in other months.

Ocean Temperatures

Florida’s beaches are appealing and beautiful.

If there is something I love about living in Florida, it’s her beaches.  Coming to the state allows you to enjoy the beautiful waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, including its beaches.

A beach getaway is not bad if you don’t mind the cooler water temperatures during February.

If you live in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, the average temperature is around 60°F in February.

It can get colder if you travel further north, but warmer if your destination is the south.

Although many people believe that you may not swim in any of Florida’s beaches in December, the Gulf waters are warmer but still cold for people who don’t mind cold waters.

The Atlantic Coast has chillier water temperatures, but you can swim in it compared to the Gulf.  I must warn you that while it’s tempting to swim in February, temperatures under 50°F can lead to cold shock.

Family Weather February

Florida is a tourist haven with hundreds of things to do, springs, beautiful beaches, theme parks, museums, and bustling neighborhoods to explore.

If you want a state with beach weather throughout the year, you can come to Florida.

However, you should consider the weather before hitting the sandy beaches.

Some parts of Florida may be extremely chilling in February to try swimming.

Ocean Temperatures

Do you like swimming?

While the beautiful waters and beaches attract visitors to Florida, February has a different temperature.

I mentioned that the East Coast has warmer weather than the West Coast.

If you want to explore water activities, you should consider coming to the East Coast, but if you want to relax in the cities, any coast can do the magic.

I have not tried swimming in February because I don’t like cold waters, especially when the temperature is below 55°F.  However, I know friends ready to jump into these cold waters and feel rejuvenated.

UV Index in February

I recommend you understand Florida’s UV index before you make your trip.  If you want to come in September or January, find the UV index.

Florida is located closer to the equator compared to other American states. Therefore, you should know the intensity of the sun’s rays before you step out of your hotel.

Although February is cool, the sun rays can still cause harm because it’s powerful.

You should know the intensity of the sun rays in Florida to save you from health issues.

The average daily maximum UV index in February is mostly six, meaning the sun’s rays are high but lower compared to summer.

You should come to Florida with sunshade and sunscreen to save you from UV harm.

Regardless of how calm the weather might be, the sun ray can still hurt you, especially from sunburn.

You should protect yourself from the UV rays when you visit Florida.

I mentioned that the low intensity of the sun in Florida does not make it less harmful.

Therefore, get the right safety kits when coming to Florida.
