is the most popular beach destination on the west coast of Florida in the United States.
It fully justifies its name because the water here is really clean, and the weather is warm and sunny all year round.
Clean white sand beaches, developed tourist infrastructure, and a large selection of hotels make
Clearwater Beach
one of the main resort destinations in the United States for those who like to relax by the sea and bask in the sun.
Surprisingly, Clearwater seemed to us almost like an ideal beach town that suits literally everyone.
There is all the infrastructure and a lot of entertainment, and for those who like to relax in solitude, there are wild beaches.
We especially liked the pier, from which it is easy to watch the dolphins at sunset!
We visited Clearwater during our trip to
Florida
and are ready to share our impressions of where to stay and what to do there with you.
When Should I come to Clearwater?
Clearwater is almost always sunny (averaging 361 days a year) due to its subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and relatively dry, warm winters.
The rainy season is from June to September, and the dry season is from October to May.
The best time to relax on the beaches of Clearwater is November–December and April–May, when the air temperature is most comfortable and there is practically no rain.
But in winter it can be cool here, so at this time it is better to go to rest on the beaches of Cancun or the Maldives, where it is warm all year round, and in summer to Hawaii or the Seychelles.

Where to Stay?
There are hotels in Clearwater to suit all tastes and budgets.
Of course, to live on the first line near the beach and use sunbeds and umbrellas, you will need to pay much more than to spend the night somewhere a few miles from the city center.
However, there are cool spa resorts starting at $300 for all-inclusive lovers and old Florida-style beach motels for $120-150.
Also near Clearwater, there are campsites and an RV park.
This is my personal list of the best hotels in Clearwater:
1. Sandpearl Resort
, an expensive 4-star resort with its own beach and the highest rating on Clearwater Beach.
2. Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott
: cozy apartments near the beach for those who value comfort during their holidays.
3. Pier House 60 Marina
, the closest hotel to the pier, has spacious rooms at reasonable prices.
4. Hilton Resort & Spa
: a spa resort on the first line of Clearwater Beach near the pier.
5. Sheraton Sand Key Resort
: a cool resort with spacious grounds, a beach, a large pool, and tennis courts for an unforgettable vacation.
6. Island Cay
: Highly Rated, Goodly Reviewed Cheap Pool Hotel on Clearwater Beach
And you, readers, asked for the review of the following hotels: :
Shephard’s Beach Resort
The hotel is not big, but the clean area of the hotel is perfect for small children.
Shephard`s Beach Hotel is located a short distance from the main landmarks.
It has a large pool, direct
access to the beach
, a beach bar for food and drinks, walking distance to the main part of the city, and reasonable prices.
I liked how spacious the rooms were, and the pool and beach were also well maintained.
I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a more affordable option and don’t need any fancy accommodations.
Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach offers stunning bay views and a wide range of thoughtful amenities to make your stay even more enjoyable.
From daily snacks and drinks to entertainment and games by the pool,
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater is a home-style getaway hotel just a few steps from the bay and iconic Pier 60.
There are 286 spacious rooms.
You can also rejuvenate at the hotel’s spa, where you can catch a spectacular sunset from our 8th-floor pool deck, and dine at SHOR American Seafood Grill.
This hotel is suitable for seniors with mobility issues who can enjoy hotel facilities just like everyone else.
Hyatt’s common goal is to increase the availability of hotel amenities for all guests.
The Belleview Inn
It is a beautiful home from the Gilded Age that was converted into a chic boutique hotel.
Relive Great Gatsby days sipping sunset drinks while lounging by the sparkling pool, pristine grass, and grandiose property.
Recently renovated rooms with luxurious bathrooms represent classy elegance.
Access to the Beach Club is included.
Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
It is the perfect family resort in Clearwater.
The hotel is only a mile from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
The hotel staff can arrange snorkeling trips, deep-sea fishing, and more adventures.
The hotel staff was very helpful during our stay.
We had a small hitch with our booking upgrade, but they took care of it as quickly as they could.
Our room had an amazing view.
I would say that the hotel is okay, but the price is a bit overpriced.
Holiday Inn Clearwater
The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the beach and tons of fun activities.
It even has a heated outdoor pool and a full-service beauty salon.
Jimmy’s Fish House & Iguana Bar serves an à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, as well as nightly entertainment.
Jimmy’s Stone Creek Coffee Shop offers light snacks and coffee.
Jimmy’s Restaurant is a great restaurant that has live music in the evenings.
Days Inn by Wyndham Clearwater
I can’t judge it by myself because I did not stay there.
But people say that although it is classified as a family-friendly motel in Clearwater, close to nearby landmarks, the service is terrible there.
They say that it is a cheap stay, so don’t expect anything more than that.
The rooms are stinky and dirty.
It is very noisy in the rooms close to the swimming pool.
The breakfast is evaluated as simple and modest.
At least there are no problems with parking.
Things To Do in Clearwater
With near-perfect sunshine, in addition to the beach and the great outdoors, Clearwater has plenty of other sports and activities to do with the kids.
Beach volleyball courts are equipped on Clearwater Beach itself.
Pier 60 is the perfect place to watch the sunset, watch the sea, or go fishing.
For pedestrians, a convenient Beach Walk promenade is equipped, along which almost all entertainment events and music and art festivals are held.
Caladesi Island Nature Park is great for hiking, biking,
kayaking,
or picnicking.
For everyone who wants to swim in the sea during the day or at sunset, boat trips on pirate ships and excursions to see dolphins in the sea are organized.
