Florida has been known as the American state with very clear water and white sand for centuries. The state has about 700 miles of beautiful beaches that you will find difficult to choose from.

All the beaches in Florida are beautiful, but some are more beautiful than others. It is not all the beaches in Florida that have clear water.

For instance, Clearwater beach does not have clear water compared to other beaches on the gulf coast, as the name suggests or as you may think.

Those Florida lakes that have their sources of water from springs and have sharp sand at their bottom are the lakes that have the clearest water in Florida.

Although their fertility cannot be compared to that of bigger lakes, they compensated for it with lass boating and fishing activities which resulted to clean and clear water.

Destin

You will see Destin at the center of The Emerald Coast, this may be the reason behind its name. Destin has clean and clear water. It has clear offshore water along the coastline. The incoming tides will give you the feeling of a tropical paradise.

Crab Island, located inside Destin Harbor has a huge sandbar. This destination has been the delight of many boaters in the region for a long time.

The big size of its sandbar makes it have many concession stands, a park for watersports, and even a church on the Water. The best of all is its gin-clear water.

Panama City Beach

There is Shell Island on Panama City Beach just as it is on Crab Island in Destin. The length of Shell Island is about 7 miles. It is not a sandbar.

An uninhabited barrier island shields St. Andrew Bay. Boating on Shell Island is fun. You can visit this Florida Island to enjoy the gin-clear water.

Freshwater Springs

There are more than 600 freshwater springs in Florida, but very few can be accessed by boat. Silver Glen Run and The Rainbow River are two springs that should be top on your list.

Silver Glen Spring is connected to Lake George by the Silver Glen Run waterway. During the summer, many boaters frequent this, area, mostly on weekends. Its water looks like a swimming pool and has an average of 72 degrees temperature at all times of the year.

The source of the Rainbow River is Rainbow Springs, State Park. It flows southward and meets the Withlacoochee River from where both of them empty themselves into the Gulf of Mexico.

You will be allowed to boat on The Rainbow River but not beyond the point close to the spring head. The water gets clearer as you move upstream.

Miami

Another perfect location for boating in Florida is Miami, but it is not all that private. Haulover Sandbar and the many cuts and sandbars south of Key Biscayne are the places in Miami you can enjoy this Florida gin-clear water.

There has been lots of improvement going on in Sarasota. Its beautiful water is one of the advantages it has.

This is a place boaters love so much to visit because of the Florida gin-clear water they explore as they visit the many sandbars or beaches in the vicinity. Midnight Pass, Jewfish Key, and North Lido Beach are top places you can visit in Sarasota.
