A few years back when those heavy duty tumblers were all the rage, I just had to have one.
I mean, everyone on Instagram was posing with their Yeti cups on hikes, at the beach,
by the pool… you get the idea.
The FOMO was real!
So I took the plunge and dropped over $30 bucks on my very own 20oz Yeti Rambler.

And let me tell ya, for the first few weeks I was in tumbler heaven!
I proudly carried that thing everywhere, keeping my water ice cold in the summer heat for hours.
Until…tragedy struck.
One fateful day, I accidentally knocked my Yeti off the counter and watched in horror as it cracked on the kitchen tile.
All that money wasted in an instant!
But you know what?
As bummed as I was, the untimely death of my Yeti led me to discover other awesome tumbler brands that offer similar durability without the premium price tag.

And trust me, the options abound!
RTIC
RTIC makes nearly identical tumblers to Yeti at about half the price.
They come in all the same sizes and colors, keep drinks just as hot or cold, and have similar durable designs.
The main difference is the logo – but who cares when you’re saving major cash?
If you want a more budget friendly Yeti dupe, RTIC is the way to go.
If you’re digging Yeti’s rugged tumbler style but want something easier on your wallet, RTIC is the way to go.
Their tumblers are so similar to Yeti, you’ll do a double take – vacuum insulated stainless steel construction, matching shapes and sizes from 20 oz to 64 oz, durable powder coating, splash proof lids…RTIC’s got it all!

I’m a big fan of their 30 oz tumbler which keeps my iced coffee deliciously cold even on super hot summer days.
The double walled insulation literally chills drinks for DAYS, just like Yeti.
For winter, their 20 oz tumbler keeps my morning oatmeal nice and steamy until I’m ready for lunch.
And their Hyper fright powder coating seems even more scratch resistant than Yeti based on my (admittedly rough) use.
I’ve dropped and dinged my RTIC tumblers on plenty of surfaces with barely a mark left behind.
While not quite as thick and heavy duty as Yeti, RTIC is nearly identical at keeping drinks cold and hot with similar bombproof designs.
And with most tumblers $10-$20 cheaper than the Yeti equivalents, you really can’t beat the value!
Ozark Trail
Walmart’s brand Ozark Trail offers tumblers that are so similar to Yeti, you’ll do a double take.
They have the same steel double-wall vacuum insulation that keeps temperature stable for hours.
The lids, shapes, sizes, and durability are almost identical too.
And at only $10-$15 bucks a pop, these are a steal compared to Yeti’s prices.
Yeti drinkware at Walmart prices?
Yup, it’s true!
Ozark Trail’s tumbler lineup looks so similar to Yeti, it’s almost suspicious.
But hey, I’m not complaining about these budget-friendly doppelgangers!
Ozark Trail’s 30 oz and 20 oz tumblers are dead ringers for Yeti’s most popular sizes.
They have the same stainless steel double walled vacuum construction to maintain temperatures, along with durable rubberized grips that prevent condensation.
I also appreciate how all the lids are interchangeable between sizes and come with useful features like flip straws for easy sipping.
Their Minecraft and floral patterns are super cute too!
In my experience, Ozark Trail tumblers perform on par with Yeti keeping iced drinks chilled for a full day and hot drinks steamy for hours.
And their durable coatings seem to resist dents, chips, and scratches just as well, even with frequent use.
At only $10-$15 each, Ozark Trail’s tumblers are an absolute steal compared to Yeti’s $30+ price tags.
Definitely check them out next time you’re at Walmart!

Hydro Flask is probably Yeti’s biggest competition when it comes to high-performance tumblers.
They nail the temperature retention and come in a ton of fun colors and sizes.

If top-notch insulation is your main concern, you really can’t go wrong with Hydro Flask.

Just like my Yeti, I’ve dropped my Hydro Flask tumblers plenty of times without a dent.
And unlike Yeti, they’re made right here in the USA which I appreciate.
