Morikami Japanese Gardens
While these are man-made waterfalls in the Morikami Japanese Garden on Delray Beach, they are still impressive.
They are surrounded by one of the most unique and spectacular gardens in Florida.
For me, this authentic Japanese garden is like a one-way trip to Asia.
Here I always find tranquility, peaceful landscapes and unique festivals and exhibitions that take place all year round.
Falling Waters State Park
At the Florida Panhandle, you’ll find Florida’s largest waterfall at 73 feet.
Sitting on a high ridge you can watch a 100-foot-deep, 20-foot-wide cylindrical sinkhole that disappears into the Florida aquifer.
Here you can explore many small sinkholes surrounded by tall trees and lush ferns.
You will definitely not get bored in this park as it has a butterfly garden, a 2 acre lake for fishing and swimming, and 24 campsites.
Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park
One of the most remarkable geological and archaeological sites in Florida is the inimitable Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park in Gainesville.
Here, you’ll find an unspoiled nature trail surrounded by spectacular wood-decked scenery that takes you down 236 steps to the top of a giant sinkhole 500 feet wide and 120 feet deep.
As you delve into the enormity of this sinkhole, you will notice a series of natural waterfalls flowing down ancient limestone walls.
This National Natural Landmark has a pool that forms at the bottom and is fed by 12 springs, creating a unique set of Florida waterfalls that you won’t find anywhere else.

Disappearing into the dark sink hole below, it’s quite a stunning sight.
To get to the falls, follow the trail to the wire grass boardwalk – easy enough for little kids too.
Be prepared to get sweaty if you choose the bottom platform.

Niagara Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the USA and the most picturesque place in North America.
The waterfall is located on the border of the USA and Canada.
Few people know that this is actually a whole complex of waterfalls, because there are three of them: Horseshoe, American Falls and Veil.
The first of them, the most beautiful and powerful, is located in Canada, the other two are in the USA.
And this whole complex is visible long before it appears before your eyes: a rumbling noise and a cloud of steam rising from the water speak of it.
By the way, Niagara means “rumbling water”.
These waterfalls are located near the five largest freshwater lakes on the planet: Superior, Huron, Ontario, Michigan and Erie.
