Coming to Fort Pierce gives me an opportunity to see my childhood friends.

However, hitting the beach is my favorite activity in Fort Pierce.

Fort Pierce is also known as the Sunrise City and for over 100 years, it has remained the hub of St.

Lucie County, Florida.

Fort Pierce is located on the Treasure Coast, which got its name from the famous sinking of a Spanish treasure fleet in 1715.

Fort Pierce remains one of the oldest communities on the

East coast of Florida

and was incorporated in 1901.

From that time, the city grew from having just 300 pioneers to over 41,000 residents currently, and it covers a land area of about 29 square miles.
