I don’t like green or brown beaches.

I feel that they may harm me because of contamination.

As a result, I search for clean beaches, especially when I visit Florida.

Most of the popular

beaches in Delaware

are located South of Delaware Bay along the coast and barrier regions facing the Atlantic.

During summer, many locals and tourists come to the shores in Delaware to have a great time.

They come to enjoy the sand, sun, water sports, and all other thrilling attractions in the seaside towns.

Many families and couples prefer chilling out in big tourist areas like Rehoboth and Bethany, while people that prefer a more quiet and peaceful atmosphere can find that in many state parks and small-town beaches.

Outside the beaches in Delaware, visitors can also explore the beauty of the natural world.

Shopping is also tax-free and you can discover the maritime history of the Delaware coast.

Whether you’re going solo, with your partner or with your family, there are many beautiful beaches in Delaware for you to choose from.

Rehoboth Beach

In the

United States, Rehoboth Beach is famous for its beautiful boardwalk

and ambiance, combining old-fashioned and modern themes.

It is one of the best beach resort towns and is quite popular in Delaware.

Along the beach, the Boardwalk is the

center of attraction

.

Rehoboth has several eateries, candy stores, chic boutiques, galleries, and souvenir shops that are easily accessible to visitors.

Rehoboth Beach promises great fun with the Funland amusement park and the Beach Arcade.

Funland in Rehoboth Beach is an amusement park you cannot afford to miss.

It has rides and games with ticket-style admission such as:

  • thrill rides.

Funland also includes a video game arcade and a carnival-style midway.

Rehoboth Beach is free and

open to everyone.

There are many large hotels which are lined along the beach.

One of them is the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel.

There is also an amazing restaurant located on-site with a beautiful ocean view.

Couples looking to have a romantic time without their kids will enjoy the concierge level.

Bethany Beach

Along

Bethany beach, a wide wooden Boardwalk stretches

for half mile and looks down the grass-spotted dunes above the sand and shore.

Foot-washing stations are lined along the boardwalk alongside shops and food vendors who sell a wide variety of foods ranging from seafood to even ice cream.

One of the local shops in Bethany Beach is the Bethany Surf Shop which provides everything you may need for a day on the beach.

There is also a bicycle rental shop and boutique made especially for dogs.

One downside, however, is that dogs are not usually allowed out on the sand.

Jet Ski rentals are also available around the area and you can engage in family-friendly recreational activities like mini-golf.

Surfers should keep in mind that this activity is permitted at specific periods.

During the summer, from June to August, there are weekly events hosted by the town of Bethany Beach for visitors and the locals.

Although the Savannah inn is housed in an elegant 1914 brick Victorian, this inn welcomes families.

It is about two minutes to the beach and all the rooms have private baths and a gourmet breakfast.

Lewes Beach

With its gentle surf and gradual slope with little to no undertow, Lewes beach is mostly preferred by families having younger children as there is little to no risk of accidents.

Other conveniences are:

  • A small concession stand

  • An ice cream shop which is very close by
