If you have visited Treasure Island, you will want to always make a trip again because of the exciting moments that await you.

I cannot count the number of times I have relaxed on this island.

No, Treasure has less than seven thousands persons, which makes it less crowded than most places in Florida.

If you don’t like crowd in a tourist destination, you will want to spend more time.

John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk is a touristy place where family come for their reunions or getaways.

Although you may not find treasures on the island, you will definitely have treasurable moments.

Today, you will find many

luxury hotels

and B & B with a feel of family, which makes it a great place to unwind.

  With the number of family owned properties on the island, you will have great accommodation options.

A highway runs through the island and makes it accessible with perfect walkable crosswalks.

I recommend that you book during the non-peak period to help you save, but not mid-December through mid-April.

However, try to do your research because many hotels have their calendar of peak and non-peak period for their activities.

In addition, you can consider the “shoulder” seasons if you want a cheaper accommodation offer.

During the shoulder seasons, the weather is good and you can enjoy some of the best times on the island.

  You have many water activities to experience when you come here.

  If you want a quiet place, you can head to any of these neighborhoods.

For instance, you can stay at the Treasure Island Municipal Beach that has many restaurants, shops, and hotels.

When you come from the north or south, you will realize that the beach is narrower and then, it becomes more residential.

The good news is you will embrace the iconic warm Gulf beaches when you come to the island.

Experience the Sunday Sunset Drum Circle

On Sunday evenings, the Sunset Beach offers a weekly drum circle, which has become a ritual on the island.

You don’t want to miss this experience if you are here on a Sunday.

The drummers come around and begin playing from 4.

pm and end in the night.

Everyone is encouraged to join in the drumming.

However, you can relax and watch others perform the drumming if you don’t to drum.

If you like shells, this shop should be your favorite on the island.

Found in 1955, the family-owned shop offers you many types of shells that you have never seen on earth.

I don’t miss taking a dolphin cruise whenever I visit the island.

  If you want to find these amazing creatures, you can join a cruise and take pictures.

For example, some cruises offer you both shelling and dolphin-watching cruise, and this adventure can last at least two hours.

Johns Pass is a great place to visit on the island, lying north of the island, in

Madeira Beach

It has become a business hub with lots of shops and restaurants with a touch of pirate theme.

The water between Treasure Island and Madeira Beach is referred to as John’s Pass, and it was named after a pirate called John Levique.

Legend has it that John was the first person to move through the narrow channel created by the 1848 hurricane.

You can tour the wooden boardwalk, watch dolphins that come out often, or stop in a bar for some grog.

”  You can order for food and drink if you want to refuel before heading out.

Sometimes, I sit outside and listen to the live music under the moon.
