Treasure Island is a small city in Florida with a population of less than 7,000 people.
The city covers an area of 33 square miles, with most of the territory covered by water.
People have lived on the treasure island since 300 BC.

Unfortunately, many Native Americans were killed or forced into exile during this invasion.
Why is Treasure Island Called Treasure Island?
The name “Treasure Island” comes from a clever 20th century marketing trick designed to encourage more people to buy property in the area.
In 1915, the developers secretly buried several treasure chests and pretended to find them.
As the news spread, people soon started referring to the area as Treasure Island, and the name has stuck ever since.

At Night the island sparkles with bright lights of cafes and bars,club parties.
Visit any bar on Treasure Island for a bar experience, and for getting an unforgettable party.
It was fun to stay awake all night long, combine different excursions, the beach and small shopping at the same time, and always communicating with different people along the way.
A month after my arrival home, everything that was on Treasure Island seemed to me some kind of fairy-tale dream.
I had my memories and impressions for a long time, gradually plunging into the routine of familiar worries =(
What is Treasure Island Like in Florida?
Treasure Island looks like any small Caribbean Island.
Treasure Island is an incredibly relaxing place to visit in Florida.
This Island has the perfect combination of natural and man-made.
I am in love with sunsets in Florida.
Stunning sunsets illuminate the space in all shades of red, until the sun finally rolls into the water, illuminating the evening sky with farewell scarlet flashes.
Everyone here wakes up early.
Bright morning light shines through the windows, palm leaves hang almost above the bed =)
Is Treasure Island Florida Pretty?
Yes!
Treasure Island is really pretty.
Treasure Island has amazingly beautiful nature, a large selection of hotels and a whole bunch of entertainment.
The beaches exceeded all my expectations: transparent, emerald waves washed colorful corals and shells, and SOFT finest white sand shone at the bottom – the water was so clean.
The Island has a perfect natural climate, as I personally saw for myself.
I didn’t use makeup for several days, but my skin and hair seemed to glow from the inside.
Service for foreigners is raised to a fairly good level, visitors are treated with respect and understanding: if you want to swim, go in for water sports, go on an excursion or sit in a bar.
What Activities Are On Treasure Island?
Take part in the Sunday Sunset Drum Club
That’s one of my favorite activities here.
If you come here on a Sunday, I would suggest you take part in a musical ritual or at least to dance.
That will be an incredibly immersive experience.
Or At least listen to music and watch the sunset.
The drum club starts around 4:00 pm on Sundays and continues until sunset.
The drummers are very talented and friendly.
They encourage everyone who comes to watch the show to join them.
Dancing is welcome here if you don’t have a drum or musical instrument.
As I remember, the drum club is located behind Sloppy Joe’s Restaurant.
Relax at Local Spa
As I mentioned before, Treasure Island is an incredibly relaxing place to visit in Florida, however, for even more relaxation check out local Spa.
Any local spa offers traditional treatments such as massages, aromatherapy and facial treatments.
It also has hydrotherapy equipment, body wraps and infrared sauna sessions.
Usually,spa rooms have soft lighting and soothing music to help you relax
Take a Helicopter Tour
I definitely recommend you take to the skies with a helicopter tour of Treasure Island and nearby John’s Pass, Don Cesar Resort and the bay.
This flight will show you the Florida coastline and its key attractions, while the pilot will identify important sites and commentary on the destinations you will fly over.
From your helicopter you can see the incredible architecture of the Dali Museum, the pink palace of Don Cesar and the Treasure Island itself.
Visit Sunset Vista Park
This is the perfect place to escape the crowds, relax.
Sunset Vista Park has Treasure Island’s soft white sands and, of course, the warm and inviting waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
While in the park, keep an eye on the local flora and fauna.
Here you can see manatees anddolphins that swim very close to the shore.
Go to Sunset Vista in the early evening to catch amazing sunsets from the beach that are breathtaking.
Take aTour With Dolphins
The Gulf of Mexico is a desirable habitat for many marine creatures, including dolphins.
Go on a dolphin tour to catch a glimpse of these beautiful animals.
Tours depart for theIndian River Lagoon from Treasure Island Marina, which is the perfect place to watch dolphins swim, jump, and talk to each other.
Bottlenose dolphins can often be seen on tours, and lucky tourists can also see beautiful, rare, and endangered humpback whales.
Try Parasailing Tour
There are many exciting ways to experience the beauty of Treasure Island, from kayaking, sailing and hiking.
For a more adventurous experience, try parasailing.
From the sky, views of Treasure Island take on a new light, and marine life such as dolphins, manatees and schools of colorful fish can be seen in the waters below.
There is only 1 parasailing company on Treasure Island.
Rent a Transparent Kayak
For a more unusual travel experience, explore the bay in a glass bottom kayak.
Bottom kayak tours include double or single kayaks and sun loungers if you want to take a break for lunch or go fishing.
Snorkeling equipment is also provided so you can get up close and personal with the underwater life underneath your kayak.
Visit Buccaneer Island and the Jones Pass Islands.Head to the mangrove tunnels of the Jones Pass Islands to explore the area of wildlife.
There are wonderful places in the world that you should definitely visit!!!
