My Favorite Guam Tourist Spots
Guam Pacific War Museum
The Guam Pacific War Museum is a great way to learn about the horrors and indifference of war.
As you browse to the numerous exhibits showing the war in the Pacific, you cannot help but sympathize to the soldiers, families and everyone that became victims of the war.
A short video welcomes every guest, afterward a guide will lead you to the exhibit room where the remnants and images of World War 2 is presented.
You can read articles, documents of the declaration of war, news clippings and archived documentaries made about WWII.
The museum created a balanced and fair interpretation of the American and Japanese side during the course of the historic events in the 1940’s.
Everything is nicely done, and the atmosphere is quite solemn as every visitor try to reminisce through the help of the showrooms the determination, patriotism, and courage of both countries.
It is also quite noticeable that the majority of visitors to this museum are Japanese.
The museum is quite small but it shows a good collection of war memorabilia’s like, the vehicles, weapons, debris of a war plane, remains of the zero fighter trucks and equipments used during that era.
After a visit, it leaves a strong impression that will make you view the meaning of war in a different perspective.

Where else to go in Guam?
Latte Stone Park
The Latte Stone Park is a curious phenomenon that is worth visiting in Agana, the capital city.
It got its name from stones on which the Chamorro (the indigenous people of Guam) allegedly built their houses.
The Latte Stones served as the foundation of their homes and are unique in the world. One has the feeling that pots were placed on pillars.
They consist of two parts: the Halagi or the supporting pillar of coral and its head, and the Tasa. The eight Latte Stones were transported from Me’pu in Südguam to the park.
In the park itself there are rest benches and tables that explain the history of these stones and their use by means of sketches.
Also a rear exit of the bunker of the Japanese can be visited. Here, it is only allowed and possible to explore a few meters into the tunnel.
The park is a little uneven, so be careful, but works thanks to this curious flower pots also pretty special and invites on the park benches to relax.
Very interesting trees at the entrance to the park, huge, sprawling, and all trunks have overgrown leaves that offer perfect shade on a sunny tour.

Founded in 1966, the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica is the largest cathedral in Guam and the Mariana Islands.
It has neat and tidy appearance and colorful stained glass windows that draw the faithful and devoted to her presence.
The frescoes of all the saints are well done on the side and truly impressive. The stained glass impressions look more stunning once the sun sets and cloths the whole atmosphere with its red orange streak.
A few steps away are the structures built by Spain in the 1800’s like; the Plaza de Espana and Fort Apugan.
