Should I Visit Cocoa Beach or Orlando for Vacation? The magic of Orlando always leaves me mesmerized when I come for vacation, while Cocoa Beach has given me the getaway satisfaction I want.

Should I <a href=

However, I will always put Orlando ahead of Cocoa Beach for these reasons.

Orlando

Orlando is one of the best places to spend your holidays in the world, and this rating is well deserved. The place is full of fun, which is why tourists from all over the world love to visit it.

You will be entertained by Walt Disney World and its new Star Wars, Toy Story lands, Universal Studios, and an entire section dedicated to Harry Potter. However, a lot of visitors to Orlando do not have good information about places of attraction to visit.

If you are in Orlando and you want to change the environment to see the natural beauties of Florida, I suggest you visit Cocoa Beach. Cocoa Beach is about an hour’s drive east of Orlando.

There are lots of things for you to do and see over there. For so many good reasons, you should plan to visit Cocoa Beach and Orlando on the same vacation trip. First of all, you must know that Cocoa Beach is very close to Orlando and is a place tourists love to visit.

In a bid to help you plan your Orlando vacation, for you to make the best of your vacation, I will want you to read a bit about Cocoa Beach.

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is Orlando’s closest beach. It will take you one hour to drive to Cocoa Beach from most parts of Orlando and just 45 minutes straight drive from the Orlando International Airport. Go to Cocoa Beach to relax and rest from the hustle and bustle of the day.

At Cocoa Beach, you will enjoy a real beach environment, different from any other places you may have experienced. You will experience the beautiful views of the beach, sounds, salty sea air, and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean.

You will get the food, fun, and outdoor showers of your choice from the Cocoa Beach Pier. If you are looking for a beach that is not very populated, you can go to the beaches down the side streets. At Lori Wilson Park, you will get covered pavilions, volleyball nets, playgrounds, and grills to make your day a fun-filled day.

Authentic Experiences

When you spend a few days in the theme parks, you will be glad to breathe in fresh air and enjoy the cool breeze from the ocean. However, when you visit Cocoa Beach, you will experience the real natural beach environment.

You will learn the difference between the days of fantasy and authentic, family-fun experiences.

You can visit the Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures to see Cocoa Beach or Lighthouse Cove for a round of putt-putt golf. If you love history, you can visit the Dinosaur Store. You can visit Ron Jons, an outstanding beach shop, or the Florida Surf Museum.

You can take family photographs with the statue of the late Kelly Slater, Cocoa Beach’s pro-surfer. You can engage in the fun game of working together to break out of the locked room at Escape Cocoa Beach. These are some of the many activities you can engage in to maximize your beach experience.

If you are spending your vacation in Cocoa Beach, you will not like to eat the theme park foods after eating and enjoying the freshly-caught Atlantic seafood. You can get fresh seafood from restaurateurs like The Fat Snook, Florida Fresh Grill, or The Cove restaurant.

At Cocoa Beach, you have the opportunity to enjoy mouth-watering foods from Mexican, Cuban, Irish, Germany, and Italy and delicacies from so many other countries.

Cost-Effective

Are you yet to book your ticket to Orlando theme-park, for an action-packed vacation? The cost of catching a full week of fun there is relatively high even if you have. However, at Cocoa Beach, you get a lot of things free.

The cost of accommodation in hotels and other places is relatively very cheaper. The cost of food is cheaper too. Visiting Cocoa Beach will save you a lot of money.

While you enjoy your stay in Orlando, do not forget to stop over at Cocoa Beach for a day or two if you are yet to be convinced of its features. That is when you will go back home fulfilled.

You should not go home amped from all the fun you have had from the activity-packed days at the theme parks. Do you need to be assisted on how you will spend a day or two more on your vacation trip with ease?

My Thoughts

Some visitors believe that Cocoa beach is trashy, but that is not entirely true.  While we have some trash items in the beach, you will enjoy swimming here.  I have come to Cocoa Beach twice for getaways with my partner.

I will tell you that coming here is worth the experience. Whether you want a solitude vacation or want a little wide adventure, Cocoa beach got you.

On the other hand, Orlando is the home of beautiful things. If you have a plan to bring your family along, you will love Orlando.  You have many places to explore, events to attend, great cuisine, and rich urban life.

Finally, I will always love to visit Orlando whenever I visit Florida.  What do you think of my choice?
