I love Los Angeles and New York.
These two cities make me feel at home, especially New York.
Is New York or Los Angeles a better place to live?
For many years, the debate on the better place to live between New York and Los Angeles has been on.
Of the two cities, which is better to live in?
The answer to this question is subjective.
However, a lot of opinions are skewed towards Los Angeles.
Los Angeles has many beaches; perfect weather conditions are located close to Las Vegas, and lots more.
There is no doubt that Los Angeles has the best coast.
I will list a few things that make each city better than the other.

1.) Beaches
Beaches surround the city of Los Angeles.
Several miles of pristine coastal landscapes run from Malibu through to Manhattan Beach.
These coastal landscapes are a result of the weather that is always claimant at all times of the year.
2.) The Weather
The perfect weather condition in Los Angeles is far better than that of New York.
The weather condition in Los Angeles is always amazing all year round.
New York has moderate weather that stays around 70 almost all year round.
You may think this is a good weather condition to enjoy the snow and rain until you spend a year in Los Angeles.
You must surely change your opinion.
3.) The Food
Los Angeles is rich with amazingly tasty and affordable foods when compared to New York.
You will get Vietnamese, Mexican, Pan-Asian, American, and other country delicacies in Los Angeles.
The foods you get in Los Angeles are not only delicious but healthy too.
For instance, you will discover that the corned beef sandwich you buy from Katz’s Deli in New York is very different from the one from Factors Deli or Canter’s Deli in Los Angeles.
Outside Japan, only in Los Angeles will you get the best Sushi.
4.) Bang For Your Buck
The cost of living in Los Angeles may be high, but you must surely get the value for your money than you will do in New York.
In Los Angeles, you will not regret the huge money you spend on accommodation because you will surely spend your nights in a healthy environment.
5.) Quality Of Life
The length of time you spend in New York will tell you the quality of life in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles has a perfect standard of living.
6.) Theme Parks
In Los Angeles you will see Disneyland in our backyard, the Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and others places of attraction, all not far from the city.
This is the assurance that you are given for great activities throughout the day.
7.) Easier Errand Runs
You can’t drive straight to the store in New York to buy things, put them in your car and drive back home.
You can do this in Los Angeles effortlessly.
8.) In-N-Out
Someone may live in New York all his life and not eat a Double burger from In-N-Out.
However, there are so many In-N-Out Burger locations all over Los Angeles.
There is none in New York.
9.) Travel
If you want to get out of New York, you find it a bit difficult to arrange a means of transportation.
You have to book your ticket, check the weather and lots more.
If you want to get out of Los Angeles, you only get into your car and drive straight to Las Vegas, Palm Springs, San Diego, or Santa Barbara.
You cannot compare embarking on a journey driving yourself with good music playing in the background to traveling in a train with more than 100 other passengers.
10.) Being In The Great Outdoors
The weather in Los Angeles is better than the weather in New York.
You will have great outdoor activities opportunities in Los Angeles throughout the year.
You will have the opportunity to attend an outdoor movie in November, hike Runyon Canyon, an outdoor destination.
My Opinion
Is LA cheaper than NY?
I will say that Los Angeles wins in affordability.
While both are expensive cities with a higher cost of living than most other places, but what you can get for your money on the West Coast is simply more than the East Coast.
Which is safer NYC or LA?
I will say that there is a higher crime rate in Los Angeles than in New York City.
According to the 2021 reports, violent crimes, including murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, LA scored 29.1, and NYC has 28.2.
And, for property crimes, including burglary, theft, and arson, LA stood at 35.1 and NYC at 24.9.
