Last summer, I decided to take a road trip down to the Gulf of Mexico with my buddies.

We were on a mission to find the perfect beach destination to soak up some sun, catch some waves, and knock back a few cold ones.

Our first stop was Orange Beach, Alabama. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

Orange Beach has got everything you need for a kickass beach day.

The sand is pristine, the water is crystal clear, and the waves are perfect for surfing.

Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to grab a bite or a brew.

We spent hours lounging on the beach, playing beach volleyball, and sipping on cold beers.

But then, we heard about Pensacola Beach, Florida. It was only a short drive away, so we decided to check it out.

And boy, were we in for a treat.

Pensacola Beach is like the cooler, older brother of Orange Beach. The sand is just as soft and white, but the waves are even bigger and better.

We hit up the famous Flounder’s Chowder House for some killer seafood and drinks, and even stumbled upon a live band playing at one of the beach bars.

Needless to say, we had a blast.

So, which beach is the winner in this epic battle?

Well, it’s a tough call!

Orange Beach has its laid-back vibe and killer waves, but Pensacola Beach has the edge when it comes to nightlife and bigger waves.
