The annual EAA AirVenture show has been my favorite airplane show for years.
The show has become the world’s largest aviation event.
The event held at Oshosk, Wisconsin drags me out of Florida for the event.
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture event has become the most diverse , largest, and friendliest aviation anyone can attend.
The event has not stopped me from attending the Sun and Fun Air Show.
The Sun and Fun Aerospace Expo show might not be the biggest, but it has become a major event in Florida.
In 2022, I joined my friends to this event and I have not stop attending.
People from different parts of the world attend, soak up the atmosphere, and make new friends.
The Sun n’ Fun Experience
Coming to the Sun n’ Fun event provides guests a varying experience.
From roasting corns, camping, to gazing at the air show, and the memories are endless.

Every year, the event has opportunities for industrialists, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers to display items like engineering products and services, scientific equipment, and technology equipment.
In addition, the military jet team of the United States Navy and NASA experts attend, and some talking sessions.
I come to the even for the air shows and hardly spend time to listen to scientific and technological talks.
I get bored sitting to listen to lectures because I came to have fun.
Survival Gear
Although I am not among the pilots or organizers who need survival gear, but I must prepare for the event.
Since I can come with a backpack, here is a list of my survival gear:
- Earplugs and ear protection
- Hand sanitizer wipes
- Hats, a poncho and sunglasses
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Walking shoes
- Comfortable, layered clothing
- Fully charged mobile device
The excitement of attending the event can be felt around when I come to this part of Florida.
With my ear protected, I can comfortable watch these airplanes come to life.
I suggest that parents ensure that their kids stay safe around these giant aircrafts and learn how to behave.

For instance, Amazon operates cargo flights in and out of Lakeland Linder International Airport.
Some of the best pilots in the state known as NOAA’s Hurricane Hunters operate from this airport.
Anytime, I am close to Lakeland by spring season, I will likely see many airplanes flying around.
Some of my favorite airplanes that fly during this period are the vintage WWII trainer, and the experimental models.

They are always excited when the show starts.
Everyone is starred by the noise of the jet engine, and the sound of the propellers.
I have not gotten used the noise after seven years.

Yes.
You are free to bring your food to the show.
I suggest you buy some sandwiches or snacks and come along with them.
There are ample places you can set up a picnic on the floor, but there is nowhere to buy food within.
Many food vendors attend Sun ‘n Fun, which makes it easier to get food without difficulty.
For instance, close to the show entrance are cafeterias, and many other food stands adore the entire premises.
I can buy varieties like burgers, dogs, barbecues, and sandwiches are available.
If you do not like any of the food, you can drive down to Lakeland’s local restaurants that are close by.
One of the fun of Sun ‘n Fun is camping, especially for die-hard aviation enthusiasts.
You can set a camp tent close to your aircraft and RV or camper is also allowed.
However, RV hookups are not available, so you have to power your vehicle with batteries or a generator.
Finally, water or sewer hookups are also not available, but the place features faucets and a dumpsite.
