And speaking of NYC, did you know that it’s not even the city with the most museums per capita? Crazy, right?

Well, hold on to your hats because I’m about to take you on a wild ride through some of the cities with the largest number of museums in the US.

I’m talking illuminating, inspiring, and downright mind-blowing museums here, folks.

The kind of places that will make you feel smarter just by walking through the door.

So, which city takes the cake for having the most museums? Drumroll, please…

It’s none other than Washington D.C. with nearly 300 museums to check out.

Yeah, you heard that right, 300!

That’s more museums than there are Marvel superheroes.

And if that’s not enough to make you want to hop on the next plane to D.C., then I don’t know what is.

But hold up, before you go packing your bags, you should know that the US has over 35,000 museums.

That’s right, 35,000! To put it in perspective, that’s roughly one museum for every citizen of the country of Liechtenstein.

And let me tell you, as a guy who’s visited more museums than I can count, that’s a lot of exhibits to see.

Now, let me tell you a story about my museum obsession.

I remember visiting the National Air and Space Museum in D.C. as a kid and being absolutely blown away by all the planes and rockets on display.

I was so fascinated that I begged my parents to let us stay for hours, and I ended up dreaming about becoming an astronaut for weeks afterwards.
