Things To Do in Gold Coast

Best time to visit The Gold Coast ?

One of the major things you need to know when planning a vacation is to consider the climate of the place you’re going to visit.

It helps you to choose what to pack, what’s in store for you there, and what sorts of things to do and need to prepare for.

Obviously there are never any assurance in the matter of climate, however at any rate you can be aware of the months and what to expect.

What ‘s interesting about the Gold Coast climate is that there is always an abundance of things to do even if it’s the rainy season which is partly the reason why they have lovely rainforest areas.

The season of spring (September – November) is humid and temperature rises quickly towards the evening.

The summer season (December to February) is hot to extremely hot, damp and dry with some stupendous summer storms.

Air- conditioning is an absolute necessity for the Summer months.

At the point when a storm is preparing the moistness and mists assemble amid the day.

Storms have a tendency to hit in the early night with stunning lightning shows and torrential downpour.

The following day, it’ll all be impeccable once more!

The season of Autumn (March – May) is still warm to hot amid the days and somewhat cooler in the evening.

Dampness drops and there is less rain.

The autumn season in Gold Coast is an ideal time to visit.

The winter season (June – August) is also a perfect time to visit the city that offers clear blue skies during daytime and chilly nighttimes and lower moisture by day.

This is the right time of the year when you must bring in your fashionable winter jackets and coats while walking around the city.

Best things to do in The Gold Coast

These are my favorite things to do and beautiful places to visit on your next holiday to The Gold Coast.

Burleigh Heads Beach

The Burleigh Heads Beach is a top attraction where you can see the real life of Australians.

This wide and clean beach has surfers everywhere and a relaxed environment.

Burleigh is the best beach in the region of Gold Coast that is spotless, white sand, and clear water.

It is perfect and suitable for surfers because the waves there are usually very lively and great!

Many Australian families go there to spend the day with the children, have a barbecue or picnic along the barbecue grills near the beach, which you can use whenever you want and for free.

At the end of the beach, there is a walkway with amazing look out points that will come out in Palm Beach, considered one of the cleanest beaches in Australia.

The sea is flat, excellent for swimming and practicing stand up paddle.

It is a panorama of dreams with a beautiful sandy beach and a perfect atmosphere.

Burleigh Heads Beach

Burleigh is more family oriented or its facilities are designed for families because you can see kids skateboarding on the boardwalk, couples walking their dogs, or parents teaching children to surf, groups of women doing yoga in the afternoon, and tourists engaged in various outdoor sports offered along its coastline.

There are good restaurants facing the beachfront that it is worth taking dinner or breakfast.

This beach is very good and nice for all kinds of people.

You can stay sunbathing, or simply relax on the lawn near the beach and also have a barbecue.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

With the innumerable type of animals under their shelter, you are guaranteed to have a great time at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

In the park you can see animals of all kinds and, as expected, have a close encounter with kangaroos.

In fact, in the park there is a large space dedicated to kangaroos and emus where you can spend time feeding them (distributed free of charge by the staff) and taking pictures.

In addition to all the animals you can attend and actively participate in the shows such as the typical Australian sheep shearing or the arrival of a huge flock of parrots of all colors that amuse all visitors.

It is a really nice experience and a must for those who are fans of Surfers Paradise.

The location is easily accessible via a bus that stops right in front of the entrance of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

You can spend a whole day in this park where you can meet many typical Australian animals that live freely and in a well-kept environment.

The most beautiful thing is to have the chance to caress many kangaroos which are really sweet animals.

Inside this wildlife park you can see the most common animals of Australia: kangaroo, koala, and wombat, echidna.

Also in this park is where you can find the Aboriginal Theater where every two hours, you can watch a free presentation.

Come inside; sit down on a bench and watch!

Natural Bridge

The Natural Bridge is really wonderful.

And by being beautiful does not mean around the Natural Bridge itself but also with the forest around it.

This bridge is one of the most beautiful sections of the forest which can only be seen in Gold Coast, Australia.

It really is often very crowded with visitors who want to have their picture taken on the bridge.

Never go on the weekends because the enormous parking gets filled with people and vehicles.

The small round that you walk through the forest to the natural bridge is relatively simple, albeit with some rather steep inclines.

Natural Bridge

It is also tarred the most and designed to accommodate many visitors.

This is a cave under the waterfall with lots of bats.

The trail allows you to bypass the waterfall and walk around the bridge.

It is almost at the bridge where literally everything breaks down the water and there is a small pit where you can swim and climb over the fence.

The whole trail takes about 25min.Most of the hike is paved and you can easily cope with it in flip-flops.

It offers very nice walk through the forest and there are always opportunities to make pictures.

The highlight is of course is the Natural Bridge that is indeed very captivating, especially when you stand in the “cave” and take great photos including the bats.

It is a must see attraction when in Gold Coast, Australia.

Skypoint Climb

For those who want the feeling of being up there without even a glass limiting their surroundings, the Skypoint Climb is the best option to do that in Gold Coast.

The adventure begins with a climb to a staircase at the top of the building, where you go with a particular outfit and the entire security apparatus to secure you to the handrails.

You cannot bring anything that easily gets loose (because of the strong winds) like; sunglasses, cameras, caps, or mobile phones.

All personal belongings must be deposited at the lobby.

Skypoint Climb

You cannot take pictures; they will take the photos and then will try to sell it to you.

It is advisable or those who have the thrill of feeling the wind and the feeling of being up there with nothing around and look down and see the entire landscape without the glass.

For those who want to just take pictures, go only up to the observation deck and platform of the same building.

The view is really amazing, and it’s worth paying the voucher and signing the waiver to participate in the spine thrilling adventure.

It has a restaurant on site, but it is a bit expensive.

Coolangatta Beach

The Coolangatta Beach is topped by a promontory that stands out on the blue sea, caressed by a wind that is blowing and determined to move the rocks that make it up, and surrounded by meadows –the Coolangatta Beach is truly incredible.

How can you avoid stopping to admire the endless open sea or groped to see the whales from your promontory, or take advantage of the equipment for a barbecue in the open air, or just lie in the sun of its fields?

It has everything you need to have a good vacation in Gold Coast City.

You can also walk down from its hill until you reach the beach which is a real delight for swimmers, with waters that are calm and warm and suitable for those who want to surf or swim just to avoid the heat of the hot sun.

A visit to this beach is a must and you can also check out the nearby town of Coolangatta.

Coolangatta is a small town of the Gold Coast that is located between the regions of Queensland and the New South Wales, just 17 km away from the center of Surfers Paradise and 1 km from the Gold Coast.

This is a paradise beach, the long beaches of golden sand, is the best known surfer’s paradise, where peace and quiet reign supreme.

This beach is an immersion in nature, water sports and a pleasant holiday of peace and relaxation.

You may also relax in one of the many bars and restaurants along the famous beach in Gold Coast.

Surfer’s Paradise Beach

The Surfer’s Paradise Beach is where you can find the best waves, best restaurants, and also where you can meet people from around the world.

The beach and the coastal areas here are always clean and lined with white sand, the sea with a mixture of colors leaves everyone open-mouthed.

Surfers Paradise is an ideal place of vacation for the whole Australia and where Australians and people around the world choose to spend their dream vacations.

It is highly recommended.

If you have time, go first to Coolangatta, spend the morning there and then come to these parts in the late afternoon.

The beach is very beautiful and the structure is great.

There are many public, clean and accessible bathrooms.

There are also water fountains by the whole beach along the boardwalk for exercise.

Care must be taken with the living waters at certain times of the year especially when it becomes very cold.

Anyway, it’s worth taking some time to enjoy, even if it is to walk on the beach or take a sun without entering the water.

There are always people there and lots of water sports activities to try.

It also has a commercial center with clothing, souvenirs, and food stores.

What else to see in The Gold Coast ?

Kirra beach

Has one of the best waves of the Gold Coast that always rolls and rolls.

This beach has complete infrastructure to make your stay comfortable especially when the beach is too crowded, the facilities are all opened and well maintained.

It is a beautiful beach with clear waters and not far from the airport.

On weekdays it turns very quiet, but on weekends, most of the locals spend time surfing and exploring its coast.

It is easily accessible by bus from the city center.

Its tubular waves are remarkable and worthy of a magazine cover.

This beach is a unique enchantment.

It is almost paradise and just like all the beaches in Australia, the waters are crystal clear and blue.

A perfect getaway place for romantic couples!

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! (Gold Coast)

Another museum of unusual things from around the world gathered in the center of Surfers Paradise.

It is a museum-like entertainment with oddities for all ages, it is possible to carry out experiments, touch, and feel the exhibits.

All exhibits are signed and carry detailed information from where it was brought.

It is very interesting for the family and makes them think if the exhibits are fiction or truth from this shop with a huge threshold of interesting objects gathered from all around the world.

Even kids will be captivated by its charm because some of the items are interactive.

The museum has statues, paintings, very interesting objects and really amazing odd objects.

It is part interactive with videos, magic mirror and other good attractions for children.

It is a great ride for the whole family.

Snapper Rocks

The best beach on the Gold Coast.

Beyond the surfing attractions it is very pretty and has the whole support structure.

It is a place where you must spend a few days because of the amount of attractions and beaches encompassing this region.

The International Surfing competitions are usually held here because the waters produce huge and mighty tubular waves.

The power of the waves crashing on the rocks creates numerous natural pools where sea water flow continuously creating small water channels where many tourists bathe safely.

Lots of people swim through these natural channels which can measure up to 30 meters in length.

A few meters from here, daredevils surf on the waves rushing regardless of the rocks, this is a perfect place to take a relaxing dip in one of these natural pools or indulge in a little ‘time in making photographs’.

It is located a few hundred meters from the famous Kirra Beach Coolangatta.

This is the best place to spend a day of relaxation and connect with nature.

Things to do around The Gold Coast

Tamborine Mountain

One of the first peaks you can visit if it’s your first time in Australia.

People usually go to the beach and forget that Australia has mountain regions and beautiful landscapes along these peaks.

Tamborine is about 45 minutes away from the beach coast areas and you can plan a road trip or hiking excursion with friends to enjoy the trails and long hikes to reach its peak.

Once you get there, you will find a street with various candy shops, Thai restaurants and other cuddly little things, and all kinds of doll house.

There are waterfalls and hiking trails, and a good visual of Gold Coast City in the middle of the road.

One tip; go for a sumptuous breakfast and try the Verdadeiro cheese that they produce in the dairy farm.

Stroll down the street, buy some souvenirs and then take a hot chocolate or macadamia ice cream!

Tamborine Mountain

For those who like to light hiking, Tamborine Mountain is a great place.

The paths are well marked; the walk is pleasant without being flat.

Paths starting from the village used to be cool or warm (depending on the season) and there are bistros around the corner.

You will discover the natural habitat of many animals and the plants selection is also superb; the large trees and many tropical plants meet and add mystic charm to the place.

In terms of sun-doused fun, no other holiday destination sparkles like Australia’s Gold Coast.

It has great outdoor activities, perfect climate, and a lively ambience, and passion for adventure in any attractions that you visit.

The Gold Coast is also an ideal place to spend all year round national and sports events.

If you seek peace and quiet or need to stretch your adrenaline and heart rates higher with extreme sports and outdoor adventure, look no further because it is all in Gold Coast City, Australia.

Gold Coast is also a place with a very active nightlife, full of ballads, and beaches that are worth checking out!
