How “at its best” is decided
A place is at its best when its average daily high is in the range for its kind of trip and it rains on 10 days or fewer that month; a beach with a storm nearby in 5 or more of the last 50 seasons that month cannot be best. Weather: NASA POWER, 2006–2025. Storms: NOAA HURDAT2, 1976–2025.
