Marsa Mubarak

So, you are willing to see sea cow and sea turtle during your trip to Marsa Alam? Well, Marsa Mubarak is an excellent place where you can expect getting this experience.

Snorkeling becomes wonderful here; one important thing to know here is that gears for water sports are not the best and you won’t get time to try out gears in the water.

So, beginners should not visit here with the expectation of snorkeling and diving. Feeling sea sickness is common here.

Thus, don’t forget to keep a pill to avoid sea sickness before you depart for the trip.

You should be experienced enough to handle your gear so that you can dive at once when the guide tell you for doing so. Fast and frequent dive will help you to catch the moving animal in the water.

But don’t ever mistake to touch the animal unless you are sure that the animal is ready to be touched. You are offered nice lunch on boat.

Another wonderful snorkeling and diving site in the city is Gebel El Rosas . Apart from these thrilling water sports, you will like to see lovely marine life here as turtles, anemone reef and murenas, rays, clown fish and colorful fishes are just behind corner of the bay.

Dolphin House Reef (Sha’ab Samadai)

The Dolphin House Reef is another catchy spot to see dolphins and enjoying water sports in crystal clear water.

This nice reef offers good chances to divers and scuba divers.

Dolphins will not be found in the area where you swim probably but if you are lucky enough to get chance of diving with dolphins; it will be a wonderful experience for you.

On the other hand, a 1.5 hour boat trip is also available to check out the nice coral garden by all standards.

A long cave/tunnel is there inside the reef to swim through where width and lighting conditions is perfect for swimming.

Marsa Shoona Bay

Trip to Marsha Shoona Bay from Port Ghalib is really exciting but again taking sea sickness pills earlier than starting a trip is good idea as sea is rough to make you feel seasick.

As soon as the boat approaches the reef, you can see the Dugong surfacing. Although, visibility is not very perfect but good for snorkeling.

Even the site is safer to snorkel for beginners. The actual bay is calm and lovely to see; sea becomes rougher while returning.

As the reef is crowded always with lots of people and you need to swim in hurry, you won’t get time to stay at certain point in hope of a great shot to capture.

Watching sea creatures like line fish, octopus, turtles and the Napoleon fish makes your trip successful.

Marine life makes your holiday trip colorful in Marsha Shoona Bay.

As many boats drive on the sea together, the environment becomes noisy and polluted but if boats come at different times, it’s nice to focus on a point and check out what is under water.

Sea cows can be seen here also but definitely this place is not as great as Marsa Mubarak.

Port Ghalib

This great place possesses 3 hotels, lots of shops, a port and restaurants.

An excellent diving center is also there with customer friendly staff. The best thing to know about Port Ghalib is that you will have new experiences every time.

A fantastic animation team is there to entertain you; this is how you will not feel regret here.

Bus facility is good to pick you up from the hotel to a harbor which is full of bars, restaurants and gift shops.

The construction is new, safe and quite impressive. Market guys there are friendly and supportive but the place is expensive.

Port Ghalib

Many coffee shops and shopping centers are there to offer you great time in leisure.

Watching yachts while shopping, looking lots of fishes swimming at harbor and interesting souvenir shops, the chance of enjoying Costa coffee or raspberry iced tea, everything makes this place a very modern marina.
