Rainy Season by Destination

Quick answer: the wettest single month of any destination here is Mumbai’s July, 972 mm (38.3 in) across 30 rain days — and the driest place is Phoenix, whose whole year is 263 mm (10.4 in). Most destinations here get their rain between May and October; Hawaii, Bali, Singapore and Machu Picchu are the exceptions, all four wettest between December and March.

Each page has the whole year — rain, rain days and how warm it is — plus the best months to go. On every one of them a month counts as wet when it gets more rain than an average month in that place (more than a twelfth of its year), and dry when it gets less than half an average month. The months in between are the shoulder.

Rainfall and temperature are from NASA POWER, averaged over 2006–2025 on a grid of about 50 km. For your own month anywhere on the map, use When to Go; for storms rather than rain, hurricane season by destination.
