Boats: Fire Island Ferries' town pages, each held to its printed sheet; the Sayville Ferry Service's fall sheets as printed; the Davis Park Ferry's schedule — fares, parking and rules from the three lines' own pages, read 2026-10-20. Its sheet: Schedule Subject to Change Without Notice
Three ferry lines run to Fire Island, which has no cars: Fire Island Ferries from Bay Shore to Ocean Beach and seven other towns, about 30 minutes; the Sayville Ferry Service to Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, about 20; and the Davis Park Ferry from Patchogue, about 20. An adult pays $13 one way from Bay Shore. In fall 2026 the last boat back from Ocean Beach leaves at 4:10 PM Monday to Thursday.
How to use it
Choose the town you are going to and the day. The answer gives the last boat back from that town; under it, every boat from the mainland and every boat back that day, with the last one in red, the hours a day trip gives, what the ferry and the parking cost, and the rules each line prints. A town with no boat that day gets the next day it has one; a town whose season is over says so and names the ferry to use instead.
The boats come from each line's own schedule. Fire Island Ferries prints a page per town, and the planner holds every one of them to the printed sheet the pages link. The Sayville Ferry Service posts a sheet per town; only what the sheet shows is used, so its boats run to Sunday, October 25 until it posts the next one. The Davis Park Ferry posts its schedule as a picture, read by eye, from October 13 to November 1. The lines post a few weeks at a time, and the printed sheet warns: Schedule Subject to Change Without Notice
