Swaziland is one of the Africa’s best places and therefore it is worth visiting.
If you visit it will be a heavenly and magical holiday that you have ever wanted to experience in your life.
It is such a small country in Africa but it has very pleasing places to visit.
I am still enthusiastic about a visit I had in Swaziland and this is why I am very excited to tell you more about my enormous visit to Swaziland and its surrounding.
Swaziland actually has a very rich and colourful history to learn about.
There are also myriads of activities that can suit every individual’s preference for the place.
We actually wanted to have the unique lifestyle and culture of this land when we went for a visit in the form of a tour as a group of intellectual women that we formed in our neighbourhood.
There are great culture and the lifestyle in that place that you cannot miss to see.
Some of them include the Swazi Chief homestead that is commonly known to them as the Royal uMphakatsi.
We also had a chance to enter the Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary to taste and prepare some of the delicious traditional foods as we watched the powerful energetic Sibhaca dancers.
Those were just a tip of the iceberg as there were so much more that we experienced there.
These are not some of the things to miss in your life.
We started our visit with the majorly know Mbabane attractions in Swaziland.
Here we actually started with the Mkhaya endangered species.
This is a wonderful place for a great outing where you can spend your day with the elephants, the rhinos, tsessebe, buffalo, giraffe and so many other animals that you have ever wanted to see in your life.
We just sat in an open Land Rover as we watch in amazement all these animals.
Some of us in that group have never seen these animals, not even once in our lives and we really appreciated this chance that we had to have the tour.
We stopped at the bush camp where we had our lunch and refreshments before continuing with this wonderful event in our lives.
I love this site so much.
We also went to the Swazi candles where we were able to see the huge number of candles that were being made in this place.
The candles were looking very stunning and the staffs there were very helpful in showing us the process and all that we wanted to know about this.
This kind of traditional candles cannot be found anywhere else.
We also managed to purchase some at a very reasonable price.
It was such a lovely experience when we left the candle scene to see the tea lights, the white corn cobs and the mating rhinos.
That African wildlife was just amazing to see around with different kinds of animals all over for your view.
This was definitely worth a visit.
We decided to spend the rest of the day tracking lions, leopards and cheetahs in this wonderful Hlane Big Cats Royal National Park.
This was a very spectacular place to have a good time with such respectful animals that people fear.
At first, I became very afraid when I heard about the lions and cheetah and I feared going there but when we reached there, it was not intimidating as I had thought because the animals are quite friendly and may not cause any harm to anyone.
We even had some delicious Swazi meals for lunch that were served there at the
National Park
.
I have never regretted attending this spectacular event in my life.
I could afford to miss the walking safari that entailed a nice stroll around the park to have the view of all that were there.
I have never imagined myself seeing all that.
They were quite amazing animals and sceneries to admire.
I never wanted to get out of this place.
It was such a wonderful adventure to me.
When we moved to Swazi Trails adventure day tours, it was a mixture of emotions as we had fun and even cried to some point.
We had a night caving that was a bit hectic with some crawling and creeping bats, crabs, spiders that could get your adrenaline into a rush but we eventually had a merry with a great relaxing dip just in the nearby springs which we thereafter followed with wonderful pizza and beer.
Our guides were very knowledgeable and experienced and they took us to wonderful places to have so much of sweet times together as a team.
It was quite an adventurous tour.
The hike that we had up to the cave was such a beautiful experience.
It was wonderful caving through the granite caves and down to the underground rivers with all sorts of the hidden wonders that are there in.
At times, we were very terrified but we became excited with the experience of such kind of activities that actually pushed us to the boundaries and we loved it so much.
We moved to the traditional Swazi Craft Markets to purchase some jewelleries and crafts.
The market is very huge with several stalls and many people selling different items from the jewellery to the woven baskets and much more.
They were actually two traditional craft markets with one at the Royal Swazi Sun’s entrance and another one along the main road which is next to Ezulwini sun.
Both were very nice with lovely goods.
It was the best market for purchasing the jewelleries and we even got the Swat regalia to take back home and this reminded us of Swaziland all the time.
It was just a piece of Swaziland that we actually carried home.
They were being sold at a fair price and you can even get them cheaply if you have a very good bargaining power.
We took the bracelets, ‘Mahiya’ which is a particular cloth which has the king’s face printed on it, the necklaces and even so much more.
Getting to the golf course was the best thing ever especially to some of us who love golf course so much.
This course is situated along the main road of Mbabane Swaziland.
It is actually the
Royal Swazi Sun’s spectacular thing
of the 18 hole championship Golf course which is a very scenic location that I have never found anywhere in the world.
There are lakes, mountains of different kinds and mountain scope as well as gullies thick vegetation that are surrounded with swirling breezes and magnificent trees making the place quite serene and wonderful to be in.
We also learnt about the indigenous trees in this place and various other
things as we watched the golf course with great amazement
.
We could not afford to miss the Mlilwane Hogs and Hippo trail where we spent almost a whole day of very stunning scenery.
We were able to witness the hippos in a spectacular manner.
We also had an abundant view of the wildlife and the birds.
We enjoyed all these as it was heavenly, the kind of adventure you would want to have all the time.
We also stopped at the craft centers where we had so much in place to view in the form of arts and crafts that depicts the history and culture of Swaziland.
When we were done and feeling very tired, we eventually had to relax at the rest camp where we had some drinks and light refreshments as we chatted and enjoyed one another’s company.
When I came back and told my husband about my experience in Swaziland, he couldn’t hide his eagerness that he had to go there as well and enjoy all that.
We are actually planning for a trip there during our next holiday to celebrate our anniversary very soon.
I cannot wait to go there again.
