You have already chosen Florida for

a girl’s weekend,

and of course, there is no doubt that the state of Florida is always in the spotlight when it comes to US travel.

The beauty of the state, of course, is that it is a peninsula, so it has amazing beaches—the Atlantic Ocean on one side, the Gulf of Mexico on the other—an ideal place for girl weekend getaways.

But what do you do there with your besties?

If you’re looking for a plan for a fun

weekend getaway

with your besties, then read my recommendations below.

Get a Gastronomical Flight to the

 Florida Keys

Flying to the

Florida Keys

just with your besties is a great option.

If you don’t live near the

Florida Keys

, you’ll have to fly to Key West International Airport, which can be pretty fun too.

If you are close to it, you can also get there by boat, which can be a unique experience.

One of the main reasons to visit the Florida Keys is the southernmost point of continental America, which is called

Key West.

Not only does

Key West

have a rich history, but it also has some amazing beaches that will take your breath away.

You can also visit the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, which has half a billion dollars worth of coins and bars on display.

These precious objects were found in Atocha and Santa Margarita.

The

beach environment of Key West

is quite pleasant, and watching the sunset is definitely a unique experience.

Beaches, fishing,  and

water sports aren’t all the Florida Keys

have to offer.

If you’re a foodie and love good food, you’ll love the Florida Keys.

If you and your besties are seafood lovers, you’ll love everything the Florida Keys have to offer.

You can try

Key West

Rose Shrimp and Key West Hogfish, a mild-tasting fish that you can find in almost all Key Keys restaurants.

Different restaurants cook Hogfish in different ways, and you can try all the variety at the Hogfish Bar and Grill, which serves a variety of Hogfish dishes.

After that, Key West’s favorite dessert,

Key Lime Pie

, is not to be missed.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been visiting Key West; you should not leave the place without tasting this sweet and sour cake with special lime juice.

Have a Journey to Disneyland

That’s what we did with my bestie.

This is the most desirable and happiest place on Earth.

Falling into this world, you find yourself out of time.

Walt Disney World

brings a smile to your face, whether you are 8 or 88 years old.

As it turned out later, we did not lose anything!

Inside, there were slides that were located on the water.

We stood in a huge queue; there were a lot of people who wanted to ride.

Our attraction turned out to be very funny; we passed singing animals, mini-ships, and bats.

The boat smoothly drove into a dark room, in which someone hummed and hissed terribly!

We laughed and screamed with delight and happiness!

Later, we really wanted to ride the roller coaster and asked the girl who worked where we could find them.

The girl said that there are no very steep slides in Disneyland, but there are many other interesting places.

We saw a place that looked like the Grand Canyon and headed there.

On another attraction, also with water, we rolled down the mountain!

We splashed everything with water, but it was so hot that we really liked this slide.

We sailed on a boat and admired the beauty around us.

The next attraction was in the dark, and it was very scary!

It was necessary to get into the car, which was driving at speed in the dark, and turn over.

A hat with Mickey Mouse even flew off my friend’s head, But after Disneyland workers found it,

Having rolled, we were hungry and went to have a bite to eat in one of the many cafes.

We sat down at the tables, and suddenly fireworks flew into the sky from the famous castle.

It was so unexpected and beautiful!

Have a cultural journey to St.

Augustine

Head to the unique town of

 St.

Augustine

and visit

the fortress of Castillo de San Marcos

.

It is a testament to the historical power of the

Florida coast

.

Visitors can explore the fort on their own using informational brochures or book a guided tour.

You will see the rooms where the soldiers once lived, and then the prisoners.

You can walk along the courtyard and walls, which offer an excellent view of the city.

On weekends, Castillo De San Marcos hosts a demonstration of weapons and shooting from old cannons.

St.

Augustine is the first European city in the US and is famous for its beautiful old town, lighthouse, the mighty Castillo de San Marcos, and the beaches on Anastasia Island.

Head to American Venice

Fort Lauderdale is called an American Venice.

Unlike Venice on the

West Coast

, this is a respectable area.

There are also prestigious shopping centers, beaches, and a

port from where cruise ships

leave for the Caribbean.

The

beaches in Florida

are some of the best in the US.

They are much better than the beaches in Los Angeles, and some of them can even compete with the beaches in the Maldives.

In my opinion, the beaches in the Gulf of Mexico are better than those on the Atlantic coast.

Here are some other options:

  1. Miami

is the most famous resort in Florida and the club capital of the United States.

Here, it is best to relax in an excellent hotel, go to the beach, taste Cuban cuisine, and be sure to have fun from morning to night.

And first of all, we are talking about

    South Beach

and its main artery, Ocean Drive.

  2. Delray Beach is a postcard town from the 20s, a very quiet and peaceful beach town with a beautiful main street, Atlantic Avenue.

  3. Daytona Beach

is a beach town worth visiting for auto and motorsport enthusiasts, as it is the motorcycle capital of the United States.

NASCAR races are held here, and on the beach, you can drive a car yourself.

And in the summer, free concerts are often held in Daytona Beach.

Get New Energy at the Naples Botanical Garden

You will definitely get a lot of new energy at the Naples Botanical Garden.

This is an ideal place for family walks, relaxation, and meditation.

Naples Botanical Garden is a huge green oasis in the heart of the city of Naples, located in southwest Florida, on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

More than a thousand species of plants from all over the world are collected here.

On an area of about 70 hectares, seven thematic gardens have been created, each of which represents a certain ecosystem.

You can visit a real rainforest, admire a magnificent collection of orchids, relax in a Thai pavilion, take pictures against the backdrop of a bright mosaic wall created by the famous designer Berle Marx, and watch wild birds in the reserve.

When you get hungry after a long walk, head to the Fogg Café, which is located in the Eleanor and Nicolas Chajabra Visitor Center.

In memory of visiting the Naples Botanical Garden, you can buy original souvenirs at the Berger store.

Rent a Car and Explore Florida with your besties

I will say right away that going on a trip to Florida by car is very easy!

Travel on the

Florida Keys Highway (Florida Keys Scenic

Highway or Overseas Highway), which is a 110-mile road passing through 43 key islands right across the ocean and bay.

This is the only

road in Florida

ranked as an All-American Road.

Panoramic views of the blue distance, dolphins swimming nearby—can you get tired of such a road?

Or travel on the Old

Florida Heritage Highway, a 45-mile road in northern Florida where you can explore

the state’s cultural heritage.

For example, visit the house of the writer Marjorie Rowling and explore towns such as Micanopy and Rochelle.

Or here is another option:

The Broward County A1A Scenic Highway is a 32-mile road along the Coastal Channel in Broward County from the pier at Deerfield

Beach to the Hollywood Beach boardwalk in Fort Lauderdale

.

Along the way, you can visit various beaches, historical cafes, houses, and squares, as well as parks.

These are only some of the entertainments for a

girls weekend getaway

, and there is much more to do here (kayaking, bike rental, parting, etc.

).

And yet, leaving the island and returning to Miami, you must definitely make a stop and admire the city in the pre-sunset golden rays.

Because the skyline looks amazing from here.

In my modest opinion, these are the most worthy

places in Florida to visit

.

As for the others, everyone will decide for herself or himself what exactly she is interested in.
