There is a wide range of accommodation including top-class hotels, exclusive lodges, motels, guest houses, home stays, holiday parks and backpacker hostels.

Campervans are also available to rent which generally include a microwave, shower and refrigerator. Vehicles are driven on the lefthand side of the road.

  2. Me and my husband were there twice, allways in February and March. This time is early automn and the day temepratures were nice to wonder and hike around. And it is nearly out of the season, so the places are not too crowded and the prices are reasonable. Nevertheless that the last time we visit NZ the weather was quite stormy we enyoj every moment. I wish you good time. NZ is great and I would like to go there once again. Have fun!

    The best time to travel to new zealand for the snow and everything winter you should try getting over there in the months of july and august for both north island and south island.

    If your after clear skies and warmer climate between december and february.

    North Island you definitley want to visit Cape Reinga, Paihia , lake Taupo, Cape Runnaway and Wellington.

    South Island well anywhere in the south island you will definitley enjoy if you love seafood? then venture to the Bluff for Bluff oysters and  they are a must!

    Accomodation in general is pretty good depending on where you are wanting to stay?

    December, January and February are the 3 warmest months of the year (summer). Spring is from September – November. Autumn (fall) is from March – May and the winter season runs from June – August.
