Hello all!
I am looking for a great hostel in Buenos Aires, what are your favorites? I know there are so many to choose from, just wanted to get some advice.
I want to stay in the center close to “8 de Julio” (The main street with the obelisque)
I am looking for an hostel with a party atmosphere, that all gather together at night, and go to hang out somewhere.

Please Advice,

You should Travel to:

  1. Hi Donatelo,
I will recommend to you two hostels.

Known especially for its PARTY Atmosphere, and the great stuff
Strategically located in the core of downtown Buenos Aires, built around a charming, colonial-style atrium. Milhouse has earned its reputation as Buenos Aires?s party king by offering guests the spectacular.

Provide organised entertainment every day and night of the week – from salsa and tango lessons to tickets to all the football games and most exclusive clubs in Buenos Aires – this is the perfect place to let your hair down and make some excellent friends from all over the world. And, with comfortable beds, spotless rooms, free internet, wi-fi access, and a full laundry service, it?s a great place to recover too!!!

    In Short :
Great hostel. Staff were very friendly and great atmosphere. If you like partying this is the perfect hostel…..Pacha is a must.

    Hip?lito Yrigoyen 959
    C1086AA0 Buenos Aires

They also opened a new branch which is much better
    than the old one:

    Milhouse Avenue
    Avenida de Mayo 1249
    C1085ABC Buenos Aires

    Estoril Hostel

It has much less party atmosphere as the Milhouse, but the hostel itself is much more cleaner,
Much bigger, the bathroom is big and like a 5 stars hotel. The rooms are really big two !

Housed in a beautlful 100 year old building and in walking distances of great restaurants and many of the key sights, from here you will easily reach Florida Street, the Obelisk, the Colon Theater, the Congress, the Presidential Residence (aka the Casa Rosada), La Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta and each 'barrio' of Buenos Aires that you want to visit. The bus and subway stations are conveniently located near by the hostel!

I was impressed with the 24 hour security/safety, as well as, the friendly staff, especially Damian, Pablo and Esteban who helped with booking tours and excursions

  2. I would have to agree with Bondy,

Let me sum it up for you,

If you like to party each day and meet cool people, and live a party life, You should go to Milhouse.

If you would like a more comfortable hostel, cleaner one, and more quite, go to Estoril.

In my opinion Estoril is much more beautiful and the rooms are much nicer, the thing is that people there are nice but not as nice as Milhouse, since in Milhouse the bar and pool and all the atmosphere is much more like party.

So it depends, if you prefer to be calm and quite, or to live party.

    Good Luck

  3. There are many good hostels but I think Lime House Youth Hostel & Hostel Estoril are best hostels in Aires. They can give you good service.
